I have this effects unit and really like it. I have about 12 user presets that I created so far including a phaser, flanger, auto wah, overdrive, fat clean sound, octaver and chorus. It is very versatile because you can save multiple effects together in user patches (36 total) and there are 36 preset patches so you can have many different sounds. There are 61 different effects to choose from so you can really go for it and be creative. The wah/expression pedal is a nice addition as you can control about 10 different things with it. Get the wireless Bluetooth adaptor and you can listen to music and play along. Use the software on your phone, tablet or computer if you want to use that interface, or just start turning knobs as you play to see what you like if you like the feeling of knobs on the traditional pedals. Big thumbs up Boss, you got it right with this one.

I really want to purchase it, but I've never had a multi effect and honestly I don't know how to use it, or create a chain. Can I learn it by reading the manual?

What does the octaver and pitch shifter do? Is -12 or +12 pitch shifter same as octaver?

@@munneysh Yes this a very easy unit to use right out of the box. Use it as individual stomp boxes in manual mode and select different combinations of effects and cabinets and change the three knobs on each effect just like individual stomp boxes. You can also use the 36 presets and tweak them to your liking.

@@lydiasusanna7309 octaver is a full 1 or 2 octaves up and/or down. You can really get some fat tones with this. Pitch shifter can be adjusted from +3 or -3 all the way up to + 12 or -12.

What brand of bass did you use on the samples really like the sound of the bass

I'm a bit torn between this and the Boss GX-10. The GX is smaller, more flexible and has more pedal models. But the ME-90B has a few unique modes, I particularly like the acoustic bass setting on the ME-90B, plus it's battery powered (I like) and the controls are more intuitive.
