I'm also trying to set the ctl 1 out to control the bpm of my rc300. I have set so that the curnum is the tap on the ms3 but I'm trying to also make control the ctl 1 out and that sends a tap. I've tried and read the manual but nothing still. Teething issues haha

I want to be able to control both my bigsky and timeline. I'm going out my ms3 to a midi splitter then going to the strymons. I also want to be to turn on and off delays and certain reverbs (reverbs not so much but definitely reverbs) I'm gonna try the through on the strymons to see what that does but surely the ms3 can control both via a splitter plus turn on and off. O tried your other video but no joy in turning on and off

Hello! great video. I see this pedal can step between 1-127 midi PC, but how can I select up-down with only 4 switches? the combination would be (1down- 4up or 1down-2up or 3down-4up)? and so use all midi banks

So what I've found is that it can change all the patches but for some reason the bpm of the timeline sounds wobbly if midi setting on ms3 clk is set to on. I found my sound issues went away when switches patches when that was off but I lost the bpm of the timeline obviously. Surely there has to be way around that?

Hi there, that does sound a bit strange. Are you setting the bpm globally or per patch?

Where in the signal chain will be the timeline? And how would I control two midi pedals with ms-3?

I would put it in the last slot (L3) if it were me as I like delays at the end of the chain (most people do). You need to go Out of the MS-3 MIDI OUT into the first pedals Midi IN. Ideally the pedal might have a Midi Thru, if it doesn't it gets a bit more complicated but you just for from the MIDI out to the MIDI in on the second pedal. and keep going. If you are just changing patches on all the pedals this will be fine.

Hi there Jason, you need to assign the CC on the MS-3 to the relevant CC on the Strymon (I am not in the studio at the moment so I can't find out the information) rather than the PC which I am using in this video. I will make a video showing you how to do it. ALl the best, Neil

Thank you for taking the time to do this. Additional question: do I have the option to assign a patch changing message to one of the switches in manual mode? Say I go from memory to manual mode and hit switch three and it will change the patch on the TimeLine?

Actually, after spending some time with it I think I’ll conclude that you can only send CC messages with the manual mode switches, not PC messages. You could that way send CC 80 with switch 1 and CC 82 with switch 2 to go between switches A and B on the same bank on the TimeLine, but not change patches from different banks, looks like. Is that what you gather as well?

I have a question regarding expression pedals with the MS-3... can you use any expression pedal or does in need to be boss? i want to use it for volume mostly and wah on some patches. Thanks in advance
