Just picked up both of these yesterday, all the GCs are basically wholesaling all the pedals that'd been sitting on the Boss demo/display stands. About $275 total for the pair, that'd be a great price on one! Log on em both!!!

Man the way you had those two layered together really helped create a unique and lovely guitar sound. I have a really cool analog delay, the DOD Rubberneck, so I was looking to have one of these two next to it on my rig to help fill in the spots that the rubberneck can’t do in a live setting… and unfortunately, my Line6 DL4did not fit on my current board. But at least next week makes me question keeping the DOD. 😅😅.

I think they both sound great. I figure the dd20 would come out better in the mix than the echo. But for ambient sounds echo sounds really good

Wait, you thought Analog sounded more like the RE-20? Boss claims the Analog is based on the DM-2 while Tape is based on the RE-20. Interesting that you came to that conclusion. Sounds great either way.

i have a dd-20, i was just wondering about that for the re-20. i guess the second stomppad is nothing more than a warp function.

If the RE20 could be redesigned for modern use by having a rhythmic subdivisions, BPM screen and presets...it would be the BEST of both worlds for what I do.:) It's really cool to hear them side by side. Thanks shnobel!

Hey Shnobel! Thank you for all great vids, I love that you make kind of the same thing in all of them, makes it easier to compare imo. Also great is the side to side comparison because my local dealer often only got one of two I would like to compare. I have a question about noise. How much is it? (haha) I've read on forums that some players complained about lot of noise from the space echo, I guess the dd-20 does not have any?

@@damiengreen28 Well...in a real situation (playing in a band) both sound identical. Not even the other guitarist will notice the difference. Too many frequencies at the same time...impossible.
