I’ve had this Flamma pedal for a year and a half or so and I still haven’t found a reason to upgrade. I find the algorithms are almost as good as the $200-$300 reverbs out there and hi and low cut are a nice bonus for this price range. If anyone can truly recommend a reverb that will impress me more I would appreciate some suggestions.

Flamma takes it, sounds sweet and wet, but never muddy.Lush, Stereo studio sound, 7 different verbs, all very simple and useable yet affordable. I bought one recently and it has dethroned my semi "boutique" verb pedal off my board and replaced with the Flamma. Just a wetter and better sound overall and more reverb type options.I predict this new company will be huge, if they keep up with this quality of pedals! Recognize!

The flexibility on the Flamma seems cool..and the price.. but that nice "tremolo"/echo after the last chord in the Spring setting, You can hear that Boss has worked a lot to make it pretty perfect. Had the Boss FRV-1 and sold it because of teenage stupidly. :D I suppose Im getting the Flamma, due to price, next step Surfy Bear. Thanks for the nice demo.

@comradesergeant162 Hi! I did consider it, but after listening to sound samples I thought there was a similar timbre to each of the stock Reverb modes in HOF2 . I felt the Boss had more variety.

I bought the Flamma awhile ago just out of curiosity. I already had an Oceans 12 and an RV500 so needless to say, it didn't end up getting a lot of play time. This video prompted me to throw this on my flyrig board and spend a little more time dialing in the sounds I want. It's really great when you put the time in. There's a lot of range on the knobs so small turns go a long way. With my presets dialed in, I'm really enjoying it.
@oner552 жыл бұрын
What's your take on the 12 and the rv 500? Which do you prefer?
@murph10172 жыл бұрын
@@oner55 In terms of sound quality, the RV500 is better in most cases. The RV500 has an insane amount of parameters to set if you want to dig deep. It's really setup to be more of a reverb designer especially using the PC companion software. It has a really great sounding space echo emulation that you can setup to be tap controlled by footswitch C with up to 3 playback heads. If delay is something you like to keep simple, this could cover your delay and reverb bases. That being said, the Oceans 12 has some killer algorithms. I prefer its spring and shimmer algorithms to the RV500. It also has some modes that the RV500 doesn't like Tremverb, resonance, and poly (basically a crude POG). It's a bit easier (IMO) to dial in settings on the 12 than the 500 since there's no menu diving. There are alt controls to each knob but they're all labeled. You can setup a delay sound on the 12 but it's very rudimentary and not very natural sounding. You can run two patches at the same time in either pedal, but sometimes you'll find two on the 12 that don't play well together and one will just more or less override the other. I would say in the end, if you know menu diving is going to be a chore, go with the 12. If the idea of being able to more or less design your own reverbs (and spend hours setting up the patches and arranging them so they make sense when scrolling through), then the RV 500 is an excellent choice. There are many other differences between them that I didn't cover, but they both sound great to me.

@@murph1017 Thanks for your thoughts! I have the RV-6 and the Oceans 11 and love enough about each to keep both on my board but other than the RV-6 mod setting, i actually like the O11 sounds more. I just wish it were stereo so the 12 makes sense for me but you're not the first to mention that the parallel verbs on the 12 can be temperamental when both are activated. I have a DD500 so I'm familliar with the menu system and enjoy tweaking sounds to bring out the best of it but the 12 just comes off as being more musically inspiring at baseline. One last follow up question, which one sounds better in stereo? Thanks again, man

So this Flamma though cheaper pedal can go on par with those nicer reverb you mentioned?
@murph10172 жыл бұрын
@@cgonzt5636 From a sound quality perspective, I'd say it's on par with the Oceans 12 but lags behind the RV500. In terms of features and diversity if sound, it's not even close to the other two. In a band mix, it holds its own just fine. For the money, it's untouchable.
@ronanmcdermott69692 жыл бұрын
You don't include the price difference (which is significant) in Differences. Any comparison of the two must demand that the Boss is twice as good as the Flamma, as it costs twice as much. Otherwise, keep up the good work!!

I have that boss and honestly I can't imagine a reverb sounding much better. It can be really lush. I love the modulation setting for ambient, it's just so lush, kind of surprising, I didn't expect to be addicted to its modulation setting. The shimmer is very nice with the tone all the way down to make it warm. I'm interested in a boutique verb at some point. Like the Big Sky, but I don't know, it's better to get out and play verses buying gear all the time :) with that said, on a budget, the flamma seems nice.
@RyanLutton2 жыл бұрын
Well said! And I'm with you on the modulation setting, years ago when the RV-6 came out I planned to sell my RV-5 to help cover it.. but years later I still have them both just for those different flavours on the modulation settings haha! I also think it's all about playing, but if your gear helps motivate you to do that then it's a great harmony :)
