can someone help me on this. I am thinking about buying one for live use. I have a drummer with a click track (Boss DB-90) and used to use an RC-50 pedal. Now someone will be controlling samples in my live outfit. I want to know if I can sync this to the DB-90 so that both the clocks align, also that there is no drum sounds coming from the machine just samples and also how I upload samples to the 505. If someone could answer this it would be amazing. Thanks again.

@olby some informative comments on here. been out of this scene for about 15 years but forgot the basics.... can you help? trying to record a finished tune onto laptop. tried everything but sounds distorted and sound just one headphone. tried swapping cables into out/in and volume levels and mic levels and inserting into foot pedal even. just cant record onto laptop at all.... ive had midi in/out and back to front as well as line in/out etc... into usb on computer and also into mic jack on laptop..... do i need software? spend hours on and off now

that's because you're probably trying to record from 505 into a laptop via microphone input. mic in is always mono therefore you'll only get signal in one channel. you need some sorts of audio interface to record it properly.

hi. as it only has 4 part sequencer. does this mean that you can only play 4 samples at same time? in other words. if making a full song from samples you can only play: 1x drums 1x cymbols 1x hi hat 1x voice or strings etc..

+Thomas Stubbs 505 has 8 voice polyphony which means it can play 8 mono samples at the same time (or 4 stereo samples). This has nothing to do with the sequencer. 4-part sequencer simply means you have 4 separate sequencer tracks or channels. If you want you can sequence all your notes on one track but then you loose the ability to mute/un-mute each part separately. I used to put drums samples on track 1, bass on 2. 3 and 4 can be used for melody, percussions etc.
