GT-1 Quick Start chapter5 : Saving a Patch

"Selecting the destination to save" is best done Via 'The Exchange' ----It will Exchange a patch location with another. without losing that patch. Say if you want # 54 patch to be at #13---Then go thru the 'Exchange'. Press the Patch you like and want to change....in the U section....Press Exit/Enter at the same time....You will then see Write, Exchange and Initialize. Then go from there. After you Edit any Patch you want: its best to 'Exchange" it with another. This allows for easier groupings. Hope this helps...I learn by just doing.

theres actually two sets of the preset patches. The one that has a the letter 'P' in the front are the ones that are always there and the one with the letter V in the front will be overwritten. So if you go through your patches twice, you will see all the presets still there. hope it helps. :)

When you save a new patch to a channel position, does it overwrite the original one that was there or shift it one space?

Seems to overwrite it... Although i did do a factory reset.. maybe ive now bugged the firmware...

There are 5 user profiles where you can store your custom patches for easy access.

when i save a new user patch/preset...and i tell it the "Target", it overwrites that target "Factory patch/preset" thats not normal is it? How do i save a new user preset without overwriting the existing factory patch/preset?

User patches (U01 - U99) are copies of preset patches (P01 - P99). So basically, you can remove all default user patches and create what you want.

I read that someone uses the volume pedal as a volume for solo boost. It said he has set it up so that with the toe of the pedal completely up it gives 65% volume and with the toe of the pedal completely down it gives 100% volume. I cant work out how to do it. Can anyone help? Its the 65% part I have trouble with.

For any preset you want to do this, press the "memory edit" button. Then with knob 1, select "FV" for foot volume. Here you will have options to change the maximum and minimum volume for the pedal. Make sure to write this to the patch so it saves. Hope this helps.
