What awful things to happen. When my daughter was 2 we bought her a tricycle, I managed to take a photo of the joy on her face. When the roll of film was finished later on that day I put it on top of the TV (This was back in 1975) ready to take to the chemist's. Horror of horrors, while my back was turned my daughter opened the roll so no Christmas photos!

I had a molar pulled 5 days ago and they cut my gums open to do so. Now i have a quarter inch gash where my jawbone is protruding and is exposed to the air! So my days pretty fucked. My month now. I stormed back in yesterday and they said keep it clean n theyll fix it in 3 weeks on my next appointment:( Im in pain and cant eat so im going elsewhere. Botched as botched gets. Ok so... not to sound like I blame them but, if you have pets, you should always make sure before putting up a big tree or putting presents under the tree that the pets will not ruin them. The first Christmas I had my dog I stayed down in the sitting room with him just to make sure that he wouldn't go for the gifts or the tree. Our old cats loved sitting on/in the tree so we didn't get a new one, even when we kind of needed to, because then they wouldn't ruin it. Safety of pets, presents and trees is important!!!

Consider putting plastic over all bedroom windows (kits that need a blow dryer to “shrink to fit” the window are pretty fun - and they do help heating costs).

The nail glue can be removed with nail polish remover. It will take a bit of time but it will remove it. The Blur-Ray with the European plug. Easy fix if the back says it can handle 110-220v. If it says that you can get a plug adaptor. You slip it over the Euro plug with the US plug.

But make sure you are not grounded when doing so, just in case the socket was wired incorrectly and the large slot was accidentally made hot. Of course, you can never be too safe around mains electricity, so if you don't dare, use a non-conducting object to pull out the broken prong or even cut off power to the outlet at the breaker box.

we had that with a Burmese cat. vet said try to keep her quiet for 10 days after an operation. She doesn't do quiet, she's a Burmese, she spend 10 days living in the short hallway near the front door.about 3ft x 8 ft. getting revenge on anyone who opened the doors at either end. Thankfully the splint stayed in place and we got a lighter splint after that.

Can't be certain, but that looks like a Recluse, the most dangerous spider in the US. Despite this, their bite is usually not fatal, but their necrotic venom causes the bitten area to decompose and rot. Such an injury in or around the mouth would likely cause severe disfigurement.

Why do bad things always happen right before or during Christmas? In 2015 I got a tooth infection on Christmas Eve, in 2016 I got a speeding ticket in the mail the day before Christmas, in 2019 my car started stinking of oil on the way to christmas dinner with my in-laws (a few days later the crap car started leaking oil, $1,200 repair wasn't worth it so in January I got another car), in 2022 the central heating went out before Christmas and in 2023 I got Covid three days before Christmas and was fired in January during the probationary period due to four days of illness. Ughhhh.
