That entire trigger valve can be bought off Amazon for about $7 or $8. Just thought it would be worth mentioning..... Nice job on the video and Bostitch trigger rebuild! Sometimes people have to improvise when necessary.....!!!

I’ve watched several videos in trying to see how to remove the trigger valve and I must say, yours is the best one out there. It was complete, well filmed and showed me every detail I needed to see. Thanks so much!

Thanks so much! I’ve got an old Stanley Bostitch N60FN that was leaking air only when I depressed the trigger and it would not shoot out a nail. Showing how to all comes apart was just what I needed. I might just buy the whole trigger replacement assembly, since they are not that expensive, but it sure is good to see how the thing looks inside. Really appreciate the video. 👍

Hi and thanks for that, I have the same gun with the same problem. You are correct about the broken O ring in that it is made from some kind of clear silicon as mine was split not disintegrated like yours. I tried a rubber O ring with no luck and was about to order a new trigger kit but after watching your video I will have another go. What gives me the shits is that it seems that the silicone O ring is the main failure in the trigger but you can’t buy it on it’s own. Bostich no longer supply trigger kits for this gun but there are plenty of generic kits available. For what it’s worth this is my theory: I think that the silicone O ring was used as that ring takes the impact of the trigger returning and closing off the air so it has a lot pressure behind it. A standard O ring may not take that impact as well as the silicone ones. The trouble is that the silicone O ring seems to just breakdown over time. Like I said I am going to copy your example and we will see how long it lasts as I don’t use mine very often now. Thanks again, Stuart. Australia 🇦🇺

I used the green neoprene, smallest one that was thicker than the no. 10 to hopefully remedy the impact theory.

And when does it happen? When you have a major project to do, I haven't used it in many years but when it came time to rebuild my 100 year old porch she's hissing like a wild snake , I bought it when I built my shed and didn't want to nail a million nails by hand, I should be able to just use it as is then I'll fix it and get rid of it.

Same problem with my Bostitch finish nailer. The plastic ring was a bit more intact than yours, but it still has the same problem. Makes me wonder, if all the O-rings are still rock solid, why not use one there instead of the plastic bit. Or why not use some type of plastic that isn't so prone to rot?

Great video, I had a N80SB, same problem, I pulled the trigger apart and got P10A seal, but I can not work out how the seal fitted. It seem the seal is too big for a small inner cylinder

Harbor Freight Metric O-Ring Assortment Kit Catalog Item 67580 First O-Ring that still leaked: Metric #11 (7.8 x 1.9). Second O-Ring that worked: Metric #P10A (9.8 x 2.4) .... (This is close to 3/8" x 3/32") Harbor Freight Kit that also has this size: Nitrile O-Ring Assortment Catalog Item 67609

I have a Central Pneumatic roofing nail gun, 93253. I watched the clip and took it apart. There are two green bumper parts that deteriorated. One is a dampener at the very back, the other is a external dampener on the outside of the piston cylinder. I can not find a place to buy replacement parts. Major spare part suppliers do not list Central Pneumatic, neither Harbor Freight. Any idea? I believe that this brand uses parts that are designed for another brand. 2022-11-22
@notoriousJPG2 жыл бұрын
Well, those Central Pneumatic I think are the old school Harbor freight ones. if they can't supply the parts then ... Unfortunately, you're probably ready for the dreaded upgrade.
@west_park79932 жыл бұрын
@@notoriousJPG thanks for your response. i will never buy central pneumatics. if i worked in a repair shop, i would know exactly what part number of which model would fit. central pneumatics did not create special standards for themselves only. they use existing parts.

Seems the safety interlock does not properly prevent firing until tip is depressed????
@krazedchipmunk77653 жыл бұрын
I believe that was due to the actual trigger mechanism was not in place which is part of the safety interlock. He was just pushing the trigger's button.
