Broken Framing Nail Gun

I’m here because I’m having problems with one I just bought from my buddy. He takes pretty good care of his tools but just hit some hard times. He brought it over and we hooked it up to my compressor and shot a few nails into a pallet. Maybe an hour later I picked it to try it out more for my self. I hooked it up and luckily I practice excellent firearm safety and had it pointed in a safe direction. This thing just started shooting nails on it’s own. I called him to try to get an idea of what I may have done wrong but I only hooked it after laying it down the first time. Now it doesn’t even shoot nails. It just hisses air. Idk. This is my first nail gun.

Sounds like the trigger failed or the O ring failed. I would start with the O ring.

My new MAX framer won't advance the nail. Lots of dry fires. What might be the fix for that?

Replaced my o ring gs and now when I put air to it it just sounds like a machine gun..any thoughts

Did you grease the O-ring with some Lithium grease? I would also clean and spray some down the cylinder.

At 5:23 that is why you should have at least a battery powered drill to drive the screws in

Awesome post worked mint. Used air ratchet though lol gave her a good cleaning and lubed her up real nice

When you’re in a pinch got to use DeWalt hahaha😂 What was the yellow can your used to grease, is that a special WD-40 You got to show a video of you firing the gun

It’s a WD-40 Lithium grease. Works great 😁
