I remember the anticipation of this album coming out after all those years. This song made me know right away I wouldn't be disappointed...

@Larry Canepa Me too, Larry. I couldn't believe how their record company sued the band because they hadn't made enough albums. Then I read after Third Stage came out that Boston was more of an experimental band to begin with. All of the songs from that album were recorded between 1981 and 1982. The fact that any band took so much time to craft their sound and make it to their liking was always impressive to me. Not to mention the vocals of Brad Delp. Perfection in my book! In 1991, RTZ (Return To Zero) was Boston reincarnated after losing the name from a court battle. Brad and his vocals shined through once again.

@@clayculver2460 As a singer, I find Brad Delp's voice to be unworldly. We cover a couple of their songs and I sturggle to get those highs, let me tell ya!

You're right Larry. I couldnt wait for this to come out. As soon as I heard the first track and I knew this was gonna be an awesome album. Hope you guys do their music some justice. Good luck!

@@clayculver2460 wow, i have to re-read all this, i entirely had forgotten. As a yank myself, i am repulsed and disgusted by that lawsuit from the record label, even tho of course it's due to a contract, but to rush this level of unequivocally superior talent, utterly unparallelled talent and expertise really, is stupid, i.e u do NOT rush the best artists. It's like rushing the ppl who can fix the vital problems in an enterprise, mission critical problems. Mfr'ing co's almost never rush such workers-- i was raised by one such worker, an actual genius. Music biz had slime, just like many other american biz's, even until recently of course.
@clayculver2460 Жыл бұрын
@@18_rabbit So true. The music and radio biz definitely had slime. These days they're both almost nonexistent. I'm so glad to have grown up in the 80's.

I fell hard for a girl I grew up with. Her name wasn’t Amanda but this song explains how I felt for her and I finally worked up the courage to ask her on a date and she turned me down and I was put in the friend zone penalty box. I never asked her again and we remained friends. But I am married to a beautiful woman now who didn’t friend zone me.

When i proposed to my wife, she was a little disappointed that i popped the question after she had a long day travel/flying in to visit me and was very tired and said she didn't get to enjoy the experience i set up for her as much as she wanted to. This song was part of the propsal and she understood why i couldn't wait until the next day to propse. Im sitting in a chair next to her sleeping in a hospital bed at 1 am right now. After 18 years i still feel the same anxiety i felt that day just hoping to spend the rest of my life with her, my babe, Amanda.
