Reason why we didn't have a pick until Monday was they rented a player that didn't pan out.. and then they compound the error by getting rid of ullmark for a project player.. I think it was an f minus as usual

I'm just hoping that Dean is (ultimately) at least closer to Tage Thompson vs Joe Colborne (Bruins 2008 first round pick, 6'5 Center - which didn't go so well) IMO there is serious risk/cost with the Korpisalo contract in addition to this pick, so let's hope that this kid develops well with the BC Eagles. At least the Bruins can keep a close eye on him.

Korpisalo has worked with goalie Bob before. He believes he can straighten out Korpisalo. If he does we will have 2 starters again. Not saying this is a lock, but if so and if this pick works out then the trade was a good one.

@@rodneydecormier1504 I'm really hoping that will be the case. At $3 Million for even an average back-up, it's a tough cap hit. But Swayman will need his rest and I think that Korpisalo will need a 0.91 save percentage or better to get the necessary wins. Bruins need a legit 1C and likely 2 good wingers (combining for 80+ regular season goals and 140+ points) Seems like there's been a parade of bottom 6 guys and not enough scoring talent from the top. I just don't think that B's can bank on older veterans with cheaper contracts (like JVR). Hopefully, they get combine some size and speed.

Boston Bruins under Sweeney are loathe to draft Canadian hockey players? And backbone is a major flaw of this team? Baffling to me.

The draft before Sweeney took over with the same pick in the first round we got Pasta.. that's the Last draft before we got Sweeney, so now you're getting a guy that's a project player in the same slot that you got Pasta.. the first year Sweeney's in there he had like eight pics in the first three rounds and we got carlo and debrusk it that's it.. I like everyone else gave them a pass for that year, he only had a few weeks to prepare.. but it's over now he's he's really hasn't gotten anybody since then but macavoy maybe and.. it's just with the amount of picks they've whiffed on it's it's just not a good record.. go take a look at the drafts in 1980 and 1983 or so and just take a look at what they did that's how that's when they were drafting well I don't know if they were spending more money on scouting or what but compare that to now and it's just it's just awful now. it Does cost money to draft well you have to pay scouts and you have to do research and it costs money you have to spend the money I think maybe that's what the problem is.

Does anyone know if this is a good pick for the Bruins? Is this kid good is this what we needed for our first pick?

I just watched chats in Canadian .. draft chat rooms and every time the bruins pick somebody and the people are in tears laughing about what they're doing and how stupid they are.. I just keep hoping they're wrong but it doesn't look like it if you look at the last 10 years.. we drafted well 15 years ago but after those drafts we haven't done much.
@neighborhoodprepped7862Ай бұрын
Well they can laugh all they want, when they don t win the cup or even make playoffs how can they judge? But I think we need some new thoughts on how we (the BRUINS) Are going to get over the early outs every year in the playoffs, maybe time for Sweeney to hit the bricks

Traded Lauko for a worse player... It's time to move on from the current draft gurus if you want to call them that.

The bruins should hire someone to take over the draft. I just don't see them as being anything but the laughing stock of the draft every year. Sorry I'm a bruins fan I just don't like the way they draft players.
