Bontemps is 100% right about Ant. He's going to get there, but this is his first run, and his shooting in some of these games has been shaky. Tatum, for all the complaints, has been doing it for more than five years and has been winning. It's a good debate, but all the Ant hype needs to just slow down a bit.

Part of it is Ant's age. He's only 22. Jaylen is in the absolute prime of his career and has been a very good player for a long time. The Celtics have been very good for awhile. To be fair, the East is nowhere near as good as the West. On top of that, The Celtics have also lucked out with injuries to their opponents. I'm sure they would have won regardless, you beat a team with no Butler and Rozier, then a Cavs team with no Allen and no Mitchell for half the series and now Haliburton is out. Kind of takes The shine off.

Ppl need to stop believing Ant is the same type of athlete as MJ. He can’t consistently out athlete elite rim protectors. Prime MJ used to dunk 3-4 times as much and Jonathan Kuminga dunks once every 14 minutes it’s once every 41 for Ant. He’s a freak athlete no doubt but very far from the most dynamic rim finisher in the league like ESPN ppl claim, that’s definitely Giannis and it’s not remotely close. Ant’s game is a blend of shooting, ball handling and elite athleticism but he’s not like MJ he will have to find a balance not just driving in full force all the time like MacMahon is suggesting
@ceoofesande4 ай бұрын
N to be frank, Jaylen Brown may be a better “player” than Ant when it comes to scoring the ball+athleticsim mix. Ant is great, but he gets a lot of his buckets due to the overall defensive success of his team, they go on them runs and he has the chance to explode. But in half-court offense, he has a lot to learn-and he will, but with time, to be super consistent scoring wise. His consistency is on the defensive end right now, don’t care how many points he averages.
