Mahomes was good from week 1 through to the last week from 2018-2022, there was no “saving it for the playoffs”. He won 2 SBs & 2 MVPs in that period,l (including 1 of each in the same year!), there’s no reason he’d have some mindset change now. He’s just not playing as well anymore, some of that is because he doesn’t need too due to the great defence he has now but some of that is also just him. Luckily for the Chiefs, this potential decline has not affected his postseason play, yet.

The truth of the matter is it's all about timing. Clearly the Chiefs were trying to go back to the old Tyreek Hill offense when they found out they were going to have Hollywood Brown and Worthy. And what I'm guessing is when Hollywood got hurt and now with Pacheco they are more than ever trying to go back to the offense that won them the last two super bowls. The problem is ... Now you have worthy at the two which he was meant to be more of the three, so he's trying to learn two different receivers sets of routes. And the timing is just off where it puts everybody

As a Chiefs fan I'm actually ecstatic about that. Earlier in his career he was more of a gunslinger. Now he's more like an Alex Smith that gives what the defense allows until you start thinking that's all he can do and then he slings it over the top.
