Only song on the debut album written by Brad. Only song recorded in LA by the full band. All the rest of the album was out of Tom's basement studio. This way Tom got the sound he wanted and the Record Label got proof the band could handle the music.

The definition of a perfect album. Tom Schulz = musical genius. His underrated bass playing, innovative guitar sounds and guitar work, keyboard playing, sound engineer quality and production skills are second to none. Very few musicians achieved this level of artistry. Thanks for leaving Polaroid and making music instead :). Oh and also thank you for finding Brad Delp to sing these songs. The harmonies and melodies are just perfect. Top 10 rock album of all time for sure. Not a dull mount on this one. 8 perfect songs.

The production values for this song, the entire album, were multiple decades ahead of it's time. Sholtz had talent beyond those days technology. Imagine the product, the music, that could have been had litigation not hindered the groups momentum.

The ironic thing is that Tom was only a partial producer for this one song. The backing track was recorded in California by Barry, Sib and Fran with producer John Boylan (while Tom worked on the rest of the album at his home studio), then Tom added Brad's vocals and mixed it to match the sound of the rest of the songs.

I was just down the road from you then. In 1976, I would have been 16 and in the 10th grade at French HS, Beaumont, Tx and burning up the roads in my '66 white Volkswagon Bug. Just over five bucks filled the gas tank and it would go forever before having to fill up again. Seems like yesterday..........but feels like a whole lifetime since. Oh wait, it kinda was, almost 50 years ago. Damn we got old fast.
