lyzyrdgyzyrd Brad was ALWAYS underrated. Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Steve Perry, etc. got all the praise and accolades back in the day, and are highly regarded as the "greatest" of all time today, despite the fact that Brad Delp could hit higher notes and harmonize better than any of those guys. Meanwhile, many people today have never even HEARD of Brad Delp. He never had the "star power" OR the name recognition. You need to think things through before "LOL'ing" at people.

@ZenyattaFan15 жыл бұрын
@@carolduplessis2645 I assume you know why he took his life. It was because he did something that he was extremely embarrassed about. And his fiance was about to find out about it. His fiance's sister lived at his house. They were extremely close friends. I guess he had a secret crush on the sister and he hid a secret camera in her bedroom. She found it and confronted him. He apologized profusely and begged her not to tell her sister. She told him that her sister would find out one way or another and if he didn't want her to tell her sister, then the only option was for him to tell her himself. She gave him one week to do it. Rather than admit to his fiance what he had done, he took his own life. Brad was such a nice guy and I think the incident was an aberration. We have all done stupid things in our life. When I was 19 (1977), my across the street friend waved me over..."Man, you got to hear this sound!!! This groups is called BOSTON and I have NEVER heard a sound like this!!!"....He had a great set up with the stereo system, and that was my first intro to IMO, one of the most electrifying sounds I have ever heard even to this day...Boston makes you FEEL GOOD to listen to....I saw them play at Walnut Creek around 1998 or so, and they got 4 oncores, and the place was still rocking....They were absolutely SENSATIONAL and they still are....

Delp was a once in a generation singer ! Arguably the best debut ever ? VH 1 ? Perhaps ? Boston single handedly changed the way we wanted to hear Rock guitars & melody ! We just wanted more ! Don’t look back might be the best sophomore effort ? Timeless masterpieces !

One of the greatest singers of all time...Mr. Brad delp 😎👌👏❤️🔥 wonder if anyone here knew it was the last time they were going to see and hear him 😔 r.i.p to a legend and a man that shaped my musical career and life. His vocals and harmonies still echo in my life.

Sound seems very "real" here. Not computer perfect, but real and good nonetheless. This is one of the most important bands of the 70s. And that was a very fine era of music, indeed. They seem to capture that sound like nobody else. Great band. One of my all time favorites, no doubt. So sad about Brad Delp. Boston has never been the same since.

He’s so brutal on his voice so early, he definitely put music first but I think how much he hurt his voice is underrated, he was a rock n roll singer worthy of the hall of fame and who could contend with ANY SINGER IN ANY GENRE at his prime, he just didn’t like competition, he sang to follow everyone, it probably kept him from being a better defined artist than he is today

Some singers blow voices out because they never had singing lessons or did not treat their voices well during their peak. Diaphragm singing and breathing are extremely important. Among the ones that didn’t were Pat Benetar and Steve Perry who had a parent who sang and taught opera and passed it on. Pat still sounds about the same even at her age. Stevie Nicks also had problems throughout her career and traveled with her singing coach Robin, when she was touring.

Brad Delp is walkin' talkin' PROOF that you don'r have to lose your vocal chops just because you're older.Makes me wonder how much better I'd be today if I hadn't had my throat injured all those years ago.
