Boston was perhaps under-rated by snobbier 'music critics' but IMO it's very hard to argue they were under-rated by the music-buying public - this is one of the greatest-selling albums of all time (other albums except Corp America sold pretty well too I think) Re: Brad Delp, I would argue he is considered a legendary all-time great singer in the AOR genre by virtually everyone - and rightfully so.

Agree. From start to finish IDK if any band/album other than Fleetwood Mac - Rumours had a more stacked album. These 2 albums are like a "best of" album. Boston - Boston doesnt have one song that doesnt hold its own.

My very first cassette tape was of this album. I played it and re-played it so much the audio became a garbled mess. As many have said… this is one of the best songs on the album. An album that has no bad songs. Saw them live in 2002 and it was a dream come true for a kid born 30 years too late to have seen them in their prime.

However, most the Boston band members had left by 2002 and if you saw them in 2002, which was when they released their corporate America album, it was most likely just Brad delp and scholz. Still really cool that you got to see Boston live. Unfortunately, I never will be able to.

This album came out the year I started engineering school. My dorm neighbors started playing it and I was hooked. Who knew that 46 years later this song and this music would still be so damn good! With the advent of KZbin documentaries, I have a profound appreciation for the creative wizardry of Tom Scholz.

This song had once described what I once conveyed to a girl I loved years ago.... I loved this song since I first heard it, back in 1976, and I still love it to this very day. The entire album is nothing short of fantastic! Same with the second album. I had seen them for their 1979 tour live! It was awesome 😎👍🏻. RIP Brad Delp, and Sib Sheehan.... Both amazing musicians!

Why doesn’t this tune get more love? I know it still gets played on classic rock stations…but it deserves to be considered one of the greats. This MIGHT be in the top 10 pop rock tunes from the 70s and that’s a deeeeeeep bench.
