Its takes a LOT of work to get it note for note. But with a modicum of practice you can produce a workingman's version which sounds pretty good. Of course, to get the sound/tone of the original, which these guys have done a good job with here, you will need numerous guitars playing all of the separate parts.

Its a Rock and Roll classic, with that awesome guitar and tremendous vocals of Brad Delp(RIP). This version was very well sung and done by the rest of the bandmates. When my father was young, a naval officer in the 70's, he played a concert in South Africa and he sang this at a concert in front of 5000 attendees. The communication line between my mom and dad was open so she could hear him over radio. I havee a copy of it on 💿. This gentleman nailed it the way I imagine my father tried.

This is NOT what you expect when you click on a cover. You expect it to be a lot of worse or a completely new style. But this one is just so amazing! This is a REAL cover! I admire your talents. Instrumental it sounds almost identical to the original :D same sound on guitar as the original and nice bass and drum work! I can't say the singing sounds the same, because noone can replace Brad. But the singing was still awesome and you sound great. Those high pitch tones are very hard to sing and you did a great job! I really like this and IMO it should have a few million views. And also surprisingly good sound quality :o In other words, I LOVE THIS! :)

The performance is the tightest cover I have ever heard of this tune and, considering I had this album on 8 track, I can say I have seen / heard a ton of covers of this song. It's so close to perfect. The magic Boston uses to make the haunted and lonely is the blending of voice to the guitar. As the phase of the high notes ends, notice Bosten's singer Brad does not drop the note. Instead, the second guitar stricks the same high note, and Brad pitches to it and phase with beanding that note. That note is then taken by the guitar and care slightly further, and it's unclear where Brad stops. This gives that haunting lonely heart a broken feel. Trying it, it will complete your version of the song.

That Asian kid might not be Brad Delp, but he has some stuff that Brad didn't have -- like a depth and resonance on the low end, similar to Mark Lindsay. This cover was good enough to leave tears in my eyes. This band isn't Boston -- but this band isn't Boston the way a 2013 Shelby Mustang isn't a 1967 Shelby Mustang.
