Facts lol Blackhawks hats are so dope. I had a purple and black on I used to wear daily. Boston was insane in the 90s, I was in Somerville which wasn’t like Dorchester but there would be multiple fights a day! I was like 6 years old fighting little racist kids lol. They would call me when some little kid was bothering my older cousins and friends. All they had to do was give me some candy and I was whooping anyone 😂. My cousin taught me how to use a headlock and I rarely lost a fight. They would be swinging and I would just jump up and grab their neck. Walking them around by their neck lol. Very effective move!

Yo! You took me back! What was so crazy was how gangs would be across the street from each other, so most of them went to the same high school. I remember how you couldn’t be caught “perpetrating”, meaning you couldn’t mix and match brands, like wearing Nike and Adidas at the same time, and in my neighborhood you couldn’t wear Nike at all. Love your videos! One topic suggestion: Since you have a lot of newcomers to your channel, maybe a full retelling of Whitey Bulger’s story, but also with a primer on the rackets (what are number games, how did bookmaking work), and a rundown on organized crime and corruption. Your story telling is so good that I feel like I get to understand really well *why* these groups respond with violence in different ways, or how it’s because there were these rules and expectations of behavior *why* the consequences for certain things would be a certain way. Anyways, I think a lot newcomers to your channel but haven’t heard the whole Whitey story, especially not as well as you could tell it. A “beginner friendly” style script would really make the numbers! Thanks again for your great videos! 👍🏽

All of this is BIG facts! In the early 90's I was the ripe young age of about 18. Boston was on fire then! In the vid u mentioned who wore this? Hornets. I had 2 twin cousins from the crew that was known for the Hornets. Tent City Hornets down South End. Castle Gate at one point wore Chicago Bears and few others. The Hoyas was dudes from Georgetown Projects who use to wear that its obv why. We use to use black sharpies to black out the city of the fitteds to rep our sets. For example (since you brought them up lol) Orchard Park wore Portland Trailblazers they would black out all letters except the OR and black out the leg of the R so it said OP Trailblazers. I would say what we wore and what was blacked out but I know Boston cats might be on here from prob prior beefs potentially talkin smack so I won't say lol 🤫. This aint the place for it any way nor will my ol azz entertain old dram 😂 Salutes to all Boston dudes who tap in with you! 👌🏾and B's

Yo Shawne what up my dude??!! I was hoping you were going to like this one 🙏 I never knew that about Blacking out the fitteds that literally the first time I’ve ever heard that . I didn’t realize you were that old (no offense🤣🤣) I thought you were the same age as me. So you were in the thick of this stuff. @@jasontrimmins8264 No offense taken 😂 I wasn't even notified by this one, I just randomly clicked. It notified me on vid before this. KZbin weird like that. You be adding things to your vids that pretty much stay in Boston. Some how you got a "connect" lmao cuz stuff u be saying can't be researched 😂 You be knowing some stuff stuff stuffs! 👏🏾 I had to turn my volume up when I heard your jewels hitting. But yea, the Blackening was dope back then, for those of us that could pull it off. Most teams didn't have that convenience 😂 I could go on who wore what but too much. We all knew each other's like 2nd nature. U had to. You were right I didn't/don't know no any place that did the team thing heavy like the Bean. What was always unique was you know how "today's gangs" pretty much stay around their area? Boston dudes use to be waaaaay Downtown, Dedham Mall, Cambridge Side Galleria etc where no one can claim 😂 you STILL knew who was who by hats. It use to be a place Downtown called "Picture House" in the then called Lafayette Place. Alls it was, was a store front that advertised Boston Gangs in pictures 😂 The dude use to take a pic of all your crew and put the Gang name on the pic. His store was laced with dam near every set. It then became a problem cuz one gang would be leaving and run into their opps coming in to take a pic randomly and it would be smoke right there 😂 Alot of passes were given there cuz the location was hot police-wise/downtown and everyone was away from their hood 😂 In hindsight, looking back, that owner was promoting fights and gang culture which wasn't a good thing lol. I could go on and on but if u ever had a question hit me. ~JT 🤙🏾

Actually gave me crazy intricate lists but I just wanted to give a little taste see how it was received, I kind of want to do a series on it. Wow, I went to Snowden for high school in the late 90’s and that was my first introduction into the South End gangs as a Mattappan kid. At that time Tent City weren’t going by the Hornets (at least the dudes who I knew) and actually had beef with the “Mass Ave Hornets”. The Tent city dudes wore Minnesota Twins hats that a TC on it for Tent City. In fact, there was a shooting at the freaking Copley Mall (right before the bridge to the Prudential) between the 2 gangs. I’ll never forget that and still can’t believe these dudes opened fire at the Copley Mall.
