From the few times they reply to a message, it doesn’t look like the care to fix that problem. Or work with curators to get content on their hats out there. While I don like my scraper, and still wear it. I would currently pass and go with a different company.

They really need to update product images with people wearing the hats. Several have subtle differences on shape. And it would be very beneficial to see what they look like on a person.

I haven't made a purchase for the same exact reason. By pics alone they mostly look the same on their website. I've been visiting their site since last year and still haven't made a purchase.

Some of the newer styles have photos of people wearing the hats. While some of the hats are simple the same design with different materials, some are subtle but different cuts. I didn't want one that sat to high on my head or being a more "trucker" style with a high front. I did a lot of digging to find one I knew was a slimmer profile.

It would appear they do not listen to customers. There are other manufactures out there that do a better job with marketing materials. Best to move on to someone else.

Right! I want to get some for my son for Christmas but he has a ton of hair. I need to see someone else with that much hair wearing one. So annoying! If they accepted returns it wouldn't be too big of a deal but they don't!

Another negative that I saw in another review is that apparently the caps are made in China, rather than in Boston. But it’s a good looking cap and so I’m adding them, including your video, to my new playlist. I may even get one. Great review!

Yes, the hat is made in China. But almost everything is anymore. It’s a Boston based company with a Boston based style. But I’m happy with my hat. And I still wear it almost everyday.

@@dctruckguy I've bought this style of hat at Target before for $12-$15. One of the $12 ones was my favorite hat. Solid build quality, great fit, lasted forever (I still have it somewhere, but it is so dirty now, I can't wear it out). Others were completely junk. In fact I bought the same hat at Target years later to replace my worn out one, and it was junk. So a cheaper price isn't necessarily a good thing. Nor is a premium price point. But I have had much better luck spending a little more for any product than going with the cheap version. If you are uncertain if the style will work for you, by all means get a cheaper one to test it out. See if it's for you. You might find a winner and get a great hat (or any product) at a better price. I have reached out to Boston Scally to see if they wanted to work together to make more reviews and comparison videos. They said they would let the right people know, then I never heard anything again.

I'm considering a purchase and like your review. A coupled of questions: 1) How has the hat held up for about 2 years now and has it stretched? 2) You mentioned you bought the M/L size. Do you remember what your head measured in inches for comparison?

As far as durability, the hat has held up very well. I don't wear it as often these days (trying to not wear hats as often. Though I normally wear them to film as my hair is crazy!). But I has very little signs of fading, and I don't think it stretched to much. I would still wear it to work in an office building to this day. As far as my head measurement. I do not remember it, and I do not have a soft measuring tape with me now to get that for you.

I wish I could post a picture of the defective cap they sent me. Too late I noticed it was sewn with the wrong size panels on the back, the whole shape of the hat is wrong. “Customer Service” attitude is essential “haha, gotcha”. A real shame since it would be such an easy thing to make right.

That sucks! I’ve heard a lot of stories similar to this. I guess I got really lucky with my hat. It still fits me really well and he held up over time. I don’t wear it as much now…. Letting my crazy curls live their life these days. But I do wear it often.

It seemed like they were trying to fix the issue by adding images of people wearing their hats to new products. But they went back to just product images on white. A few snaps of someone rocking a cap would go a long way to help sell some product.

The scrapper is a lighter build. I chose this specifically for that reason so I cold wear it in summer without sweating bullets. They now make a model or two aimed for summer wearing, but the scrapper was just fine for me.

@@patrickmulligan3101 if I remover correctly, I was also in their size small. But normally I’m also a m/l. I bought some hat reducers on Amazon thinking I would need them. Turned out the M fit me perfect. No need for the hat reducers aftet all. And the hat fits well with long hair and short.

That is literally every company these days. I’m not defending Boston Scally, I don’t work for them I bought this out with my own money. But every single company you visit the website or order anything you’ll forever be getting a spam emails from them. Best thing to do is create a filter sending directly to spam hit unsubscribe, that way when it doesn’t unsubscribe you never actually have to see them again.
