DDM sells a metal cog for the pull start. The plastic one should last a good long time tho if you do that thing where you pull it up until you feel it engage and then yank it to start the engine. Mine usually last a while but I have been running a turtle racing one for 2 years now

My gas brotha...look into some walbro 813 carbs there good for drags n street...they have an accelerating pump that dumps gas in about 3/4 of throttle bro ..but you can't go wrong with the 990s for sure..a great all around carb...ZEAHHH💣💥💥💨💨💨

From my own experience, when a torque wrench is used with the proper torque requirements loctite is not needed. It makes a mess and ruins threads. Torque them to spec and you won't have an issue.
@karriebhurgari39336 жыл бұрын
Jeff P what I do is, when I remove a screw with loctite I put it on a wrench and and hold it to a open flame and hold it there for 20 seconds and then clean it.
@Resurrection96 жыл бұрын
Karrie Bhurgari that's a good way to clean it. I'm just saying from my experience when building an engine I don't use any loctite. As long as the bolts are torqued to spec it won't vibrate loose.
@karriebhurgari39336 жыл бұрын
Jeff P yeah whatever works best. Wasn't talking trash about your way just saying the way I do mine.
@Resurrection96 жыл бұрын
Karrie Bhurgari for sure. I'm not talking trash either just saying from experience.

@Vincent.106 жыл бұрын
Racing
@BOTAJELL6 жыл бұрын
Vincent Ali if you only race at Track ? You want to go thin diff oils and I would start out with what they recommend in your race kit!! If you want bash and want most power to all your wheels? You want to use thick like 100,00 center diff and 50,000 front and rear
@Vincent.106 жыл бұрын
BOTAJELL at the track mainly, i was told 7/10/5 is a good starting point. What do you think ?
@BOTAJELL6 жыл бұрын
Vincent Ali for racing truggy depending on track I would do 7,000 / 10,000 / 7,000 and Buggy 7,000/10,000/5,000! For bashing and most power to ground to help spank the E words you must have 50,000 / 100,000 / 50,000 diff oils

I’m going back and watching older videos and my 28.8’s both came with a middle needle is that new for 2018? Anthony P’s didn’t. My carb also has a small chrome plate on it? Again I’m just wondering about the changes?
@BOTAJELL6 жыл бұрын
Kevin Caldwell the next time you buy a 28-8 or a Novarossi carburetor just request for a carb that only uses a Low and a High speed needle no worries!! I actually like having a med screw adjustment but most newbies fuck that up so I just tell everyone to use the other carb. If your scared to use it don’t use it never touch it only use your Low and High screw adjustments! Also do not mistake the med screw with your low speed screw!! Lol I have seen lots of newbies do that also !!

What are the Torque Specs for the 4 head bolts for a 29cc? thank you
@BOTAJELL5 жыл бұрын
I do every Rovan , King Motor , Chung Yang , and Zenoah Engine torque specs the same and they can be right or wrong ? I don’t care but I can only say that I never have any issues by torquing down the head bolts to 85 inch LBS and I think that’s how Zenoah does it ?? I’m not 100% on that ? But I am for myself at 85 and that’s what I’ve always done it since 2002

Ok Please Don't laugh......I have a NEWBIE Question For you....How do you start a 1/5 scale motor that doesn't have a choke on the carb?
@BOTAJELL6 жыл бұрын
SomeGuyOver40 make sure your tank is vented then prime the bulb on the carburetor a lot ! Don’t be afraid to over prime the carburetor because you can be there all day long pumping that shit up with no problems what’s do ever! Then pull slowly a few times so your piston goes up and down a few times then find that spot when the piston is up and then pull hard should start on first or 4th try!!! Make sure you have spark at the plug because the other day on my Drag Baja build with new gizmo engine 30.5 I had spark at coil but not at my new NGK spark plug!! My new never used spark plug was defective can you believe my luck lol 😂 sometimes shit happens !!
@BOTAJELL6 жыл бұрын
You should see how the big ass J71 carbs are like with no choke and no primer bulb
