I've just installed a 32cc Zenoah into my HPI Baja 5b tsk-b and breaking it in how your doing it now. Saying that when I got it with the 26cc fuelie engine I broke it in with the HPI 2 stroke oil took it steady for afew tanks switched oil to Maxima fully synthetic for abit then onto castrol XR77 and that thing used to rip. Screaming high revs, It had bags full of power and would do 50mph with the cage on on grass. A fair bit heavier than the normal 5b too. I did have a DDM fast pipe & 19/55 gearing but that car with that engine was very very capable. High revving power house it was to say it was a 26cc CY engine. Was very impressed with it. I nearly did send back the 32 Zenoah for the 290 for the high revs but I thought I would give it ago and see how the 320 performs.

You can't beat the snap crackle pop of a Victory pipe. I'm very wary of taking and inserting the plug when the engine is hot as you greatly improve the chances of damaging the thread, but if you're careful you'll be fine. I really hope you get more attention and a bigger audience on you're channel because you know you're shit and you don't keep it locked up, therefore having a positive impact on the gas/petrol and nitro side of the hobby unlike a large majority of people who slag it off for being to much work and just generally bitching about it.thus making it a dying breed of the hobby, great video.

behemothfan666 thank you Sir! I am aware and understand what you mean about this great hobby on how it is starting to die out ! It's just like the NITRO Heads like what there going threw! It has to do with a lot of things and changes. But the little that's left of us have to stick together so there can still be a future for us. This is all good stuff for the old and for the new but the problem is the majority of the new Gen are a bunch of lazy bitches! I see it all the Fn time. Then you have the Fn E-words taking over once again but this time there keeping the new gen of people like the computer and iPad and lazy couch potato people. Those people have no idea what it's like to have a real life breathing engine that drinks and Braaaps . They won't know the smell or the sound of a good running motor or from Tuned Exhaust Pipes. The majority of these people can't replace a Fn A-arms from there E-words so how are they going to get into this? It's sad but true! It's not just with the RC world it's with many other things as well like real cars and even things around the house. It's sickening to me to see these things going this way so all I can do is try to help as best that I can and get the guys that know there shit like you and a few of my friends so we can all help each other out and especially the new Generation of people. Only they can save this hobby not me by myself so if we all stick together we should survive this battle against the other side! We also need to stick together and support the companies that support the NITRO and GAS like a LOSI or a HPI or a few others but LOSI is the only one coming out with new GAS and Nitros today and advertising them . No one else is doing that! So big props to LOSI

What clutch spring are you running? Mine seems to rev pretty high before it moves it’s a stock rovan 36 cc double ring I think it’s a 8000 spring

Hey Botajell I got a quick question maybe I'm confused but in your video you said to run it Rich at 7/8 3/4 of a turn on low speed. But isn't that running it lean? In order to run it Rich should the low-speed needle not be at 1 1/4 turns?
@BOTAJELL7 жыл бұрын
Cliff Sousa it depends on what carb your using. On 990 carb your starting point is Low 1 1/8 and High is 1 5/8 so if I Break In a motor that has a 990 carb I'll do 1 1/2 Low and 1 7/8 high. On a 668 carb with chokes on them starting points are 1 1/4 on the low and 1 1/2 on the high so when I break in motors with those carbs I go 1 1/2 lo and 1 5/8 Hi . That's if you want the extra oil but you can break your motors in with starting points settings but don't beat on it for a while at least until at the end of the first gallon .
@clifynite13187 жыл бұрын
All right perfect that's what I have been doing maybe it was just me not being close attention to your video but I thought it said the opposite. I'm breaking in an all right perfect that's what I have been doing maybe it was just me not being close attention to your video but I thought it said the opposite. I'm breaking an OBR reed motor so I don't want to fuck it up. It's going in one of my bajas and hopefully it's not too much motor for the baja we will see. Thanks for the quick and fast reply brother ! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹

In video you said 1 turne Low for rich. I think turning clockwise lean the mixture so if stock settings 1 1/8 you need 1 1/2 for richest mixture. Tell me if I was wrong and .keep going the great job !!!!

Yes you are correct. I made said a mistake and I explain this in the next video I did after this to clear things up I’m not sure if you came across it yet?? But when you do you will hear me bring it up . You have a good ears bro keep up the great job!

Must be nice, I cant get mine to crank much less run to finish my break- ins. ( Floods out) what do I do ??? You make it look so easy.. B-S
@BOTAJELL5 жыл бұрын
Robbie Davis what engine are you running? Is it an OBR like this or a stock Zen or a Gizzmo or a Bartolone or what? Is this your first real engine RC? Sounds like it because you’re supposed to know what to do with any engine Rc or dirt bike if engines flood . First off tell me what engine your using I don’t care about what car your running just engine because all flooded engines are the same thing! Also I need to know if it’s a new engine because sometimes most people get cheaper engines like a Rovan or a king motor but actually the Rovan is the best engine out of the 2 and you have to gap your coil and loctite the bolts. Every engine acts different and different things must be done . I show this and tell people this on my videos. Soon I will be unbox a new Rovan RC and I will bring this up again
@robbiedavis725 жыл бұрын
Yes it's my first gas and 1/5. Its a Walbro 30.5 cc it's a king motor buggy. At first break in it cranked good a few times after I finally got 1st tank burned , after that now seems like it just wants to flood out. If it does fire it will run about 10 -15 seconds and just cuts off. I've watched all your videos I wish I knew what I was doing like you do my brotha.
@robbiedavis725 жыл бұрын
And all stock for now..
@BOTAJELL5 жыл бұрын
Robbie Davis what King Motor Engine do you have ? If it’s the 34 ? Get rid of it and get a stock G320 especially if your a newbie because those engines run all the time all day long and plenty of power and easy starts especially for a really nice Baja like the one you got you got a real nice 👍 one . If you have the 30.5 king motor engine ? It’s a little better for you but the 34 is a failure. Rovan Engines are better. Zenohas are best .

Do you only break in a engine once? For example if you don’t use your engine for a year should you do a break in process again and what’s the best way to store them for a long time?
@BOTAJELL6 жыл бұрын
R/C Family you only break in new engines or rebuilt engines one time only! For long storage you can use a fogging oil or spray or just use 3 in 1 oil and spin the engine a bit . 3 in 1 will eliminate condensation/moisture and that will prevent rusting on the crankshaft and bearings. Also make sure there is no fuel in the carburetor and fuel tank

What brand of oil should I use in my brand new losi K &N DBXL gasoline RTR buggy?
@BOTAJELL5 жыл бұрын
Shawn Hindenburg use whatever you like that has worked for you threw out the years and you have seen great results on. I only use AMSOIL DOMINATOR Oil because I have seen great results when I used to drag race extended swing arm Banshees at the dunes ! It’s over kill for these little engines but who gives a shit I rather use the best oil I can even a no big deal of an engine like a stock CY engine or a stock Zenoah! I will most definitely use it on my expensive RCMAX engines and Bartolone and Scott Finlay engines for sure but I will also use it on my cheaper Rovan engines as well especially if it’s a good running engine for me!!

how many cycle did you do to break in your engine?
@BOTAJELL7 жыл бұрын
I do many heat cycles but the first three 15 min, is pre heat with heat gun to 190ish and really rich richer then stock carb settings with complete cool downs. Then the next time you cycle do slight higher RPMs to clear up motor a little then keep doing that for the next three times. You can set carb to stock settings now after all that and you will be for the next step that you can see on my part 3 video. Check it out when you get a chance.
