@phiksit5 жыл бұрын
That looked like regular plumbing solder and flux. Silver solder has a yellow tint to it, is thinner and needs a high temp flux, usually white colored.
@jfirebaugh5 жыл бұрын
I wondered the same thing. There is a solder called Sta-Brite that contains 3% silver and is good up to 600 degrees. As easy to use as plumbing solder, but a bit higher melting temperature.
@TriggeredGnome5 жыл бұрын
I doubt it'll get that hot considering how small the motor is
@turd13825 жыл бұрын
I think that's because the fuel is alcohol/nitro methane combo and burns much cooler. I built a copper muffler for my old nitro rc car and none of the lead solder joints ever melted and i ran it hard for decent amounts of time,sometimes too lean and got it pretty hot and the solder joints still held up.
