This was a great informative video. Thank you for sharing. I like your style of real world review

Thanks! Yeah I don’t really do reviews. Just decided to since I didn’t see any when I bought mine.

I've been looking desperately for a bote trolling motor video and thank you for recording this. I have an aero rackham and might do a similar build. What other mods do you have?

Well I’m currently working on a system for my fish finder. But it’s proven Difficult since I don’t want something that’s really complex to set up and tear down. So I’m currently using the deeper cast-able fish finder. I just hang it off the side of the paddle board and then use my phone. Works for what I need it for. But I think there as far as I’m gonna go. Bought myself a truck. So I think I might sell this inflatable one and get myself the non inflatable version so I can mount things directly to it.

Super interested in learning more! Have some specific questions - what is the best way to contact you?

Keep the trolling motor on the bow, trust me. Since you now have a battery onboard get yourself a real depthfinder. I’ve been experimenting with a Deeper CHIRP plus since it’s all wireless and connects to the phone but kills the phone battery pretty quick (iPhone 12)

How's the bote still treating you I've been thinking about getting one of those. I'm not sure if you are aware but you can cut down the shaft on the trolling motor so it doesn't stick out as far.
@anintrovertabroad2065 Жыл бұрын
I still use constantly. I’ve transitioned into just never deflating it though. Just such a pain to have to inflate and deflate every time. Also, yeah I considered cutting it down but I might end up with a bass boat eventually so I decided not to cut it.

Why not adapt the trolling motor to transom mount and use the frame that cones with the Bote?
@anintrovertabroad20652 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t think of a simple way to do it honestly. Got some ideas? I’d love to play around with it if so. lol. The mount they provided is for a transom motor. And this thing needs a flat surface to mount to. So I could think of a way to make that happen.
@rlwkirsch2 жыл бұрын
@@anintrovertabroad2065 I've seen a number of electric trolling motors that can be converted to transom mount. I don't know if yours will. You detach the head and slide it out of the deck mount, then slide it into the transom adapter.

Can you update how you transport the aero rover in your car ?
@anintrovertabroad20652 жыл бұрын
Well, I bought a truck lol. It’s just a tiny little Ford Ranger. But I have a rack mounting system. I no longer deflate my paddle board. I leave it inflated. And I just carry it on the rack system. But when I had a car I did the same thing. I bought a Thule rack mount for the roof of my car and just put it on the roof. It takes too long to deflate and inflate. I got tired of it.

Have you run this with an outboard too?
@anintrovertabroad20652 жыл бұрын
Has a little 5hp outboard. It was meh. I felt like it needed more like a 10hp but it’s only rated for 6. It was hard to get it to plane out on top of the water. Or whatever it’s called. But I didn’t feel like maintaining the motor and I wanted spot lock. If I had a way to stow and release the trolling motor without getting off the paddle board, and was able to put a 10hp motor on it. Then it would be amazing. But it’s pretty great the way it is now.

What boat seat is that?
@anintrovertabroad20652 жыл бұрын
It’s just a seat I found at bass pro shops. Just happened to fit perfectly. I’ll have to go look if you want like model number and what not but I cab. Just let me know.
@andywocky Жыл бұрын
interested in the seat, too - is it attached to the board, or just rests on it? Looks pretty stable!
