Wow ! My friend just told me to listen to Mary and I picked this song. I am impressed. From the moment I heard her deep voice, I knew I was on to a new sound. I love her voice and the arrangement of the music is so fine. The video also is impressive, especially the black and white part with the kids riding around and the couple hugging, in love. So, so lovely! I love Mary's pacing from line to line: not rushing it when the song calls for reflection and hesitation ("Rows and flows of angel hair ... And ice cream castles in the air"); then singing with a kind of push when the song speaks to effort and exertion ("I've looked at clouds from both sides now"); and finally sort of sighing when the song is about disappointment and resignation ("I really don't know love"). She nails the emotions of this song, and sings it deftly!
