Bothe-Napa Valley State Park ~ The Redwood Trail ~ Part 1

Bothe-Napa Valley State Park
It's California State Parks week! I took a day exploring some trails within this small park. It's located between St. Helena and Calistoga. The park opens at 8 am.
There are campgrounds with flush toilets and showers, a pool, and a big area for day trip picnics.
The trails all seem to interconnect so you can make a hike as long or short as you like. With only about 10 miles of trail within the park, it makes for an easy day hiking excursion. There is also an old grist mill nearby that is open and running on the weekends opening at 10 am.

Love seeing the redwoods here at Bothe. Well done on the stream crossing. Glad to see some water and enjoyed the flowers at the end. Hidden gem in Napa Valley. I stayed one night in a yurt here this week doing some wine tasting but did not hike. Thanks for taking me along. Cheers

Hi Hobby 👋 this area is up the valley in Napa. The Redwoods trees here are the only grove that sits this far inland in the state. The place we went during the winter was closer to San Francisco, along the coast. The Muir Woods Grove. The trees in Muir Woods are significantly bigger than the ones in this area in the video.
