Snap prediction: case is nonsense and £200k crowdfunded cash goes down the drain (otherwise know as legal fees). Time will tell but I am pretty confident of this prediction.

The most interesting aspect (and perhaps only) of this case is that it's a "private prosecution."

that's what i thought but a crowd funded private prosecution via a legal firm is not so interesting. perhaps i should look into the legal firm doing the prosecution? or perhaps if he is doing the court case on his own.

Bankside Commercial Solicitors and Lewis Power QC brought the action on his (Marcus J Ball) behalf. And they will be getting the crowdfunded money in fees no doubt. I'm not impressed with Marcus at all.

@@commonopinion7529 Thx for the update. Yeah, this little private prosecution looks more like a guy trying to use Brexit to generate an income.

Would the crowdfunders be liable for any damages if Boris Johnson counter sues (if found innocent)?

nope, a fool and their money are easily parted. Marcus Ball wishes to prosecute and any liability is his own to bear. He's walking into a trap (of sorts).
