Hi Helen, thanks for another honest vlog. Makeup looked very natural on you. Billy was very brave to attend the whole process of the funeral sometimes we all worry unnecessarily I think kids have there own way of dealing with grief. Brave young man. Xxx

Hi Helen, love the colour of your top, just seeing you in it has brightened my day and I’m sure it has done the same to your other viewers. Another informative video, you’re alway so honest, one with demonstrating products and reviewing them but also about personal matters. This is why we love you so much. Loosing a loved one is never easy, my grandchildren are a lot older than yours, but watching them grieve after their other grandfather died was heartbreaking. My grandson was in his late teens and helped carry the coffin. Standing there he looked so young and vulnerable, I just wanted to give him the biggest hug. But children are more capable than we sometimes give them credit for. ❤XX

Definitely no to fillers or botox. Embrace old age and make the best of yourself using makeup. I see so many ladies out and about dressed really smart, but no makeup. Why is it that quite a few women seem to not wear even a light coverage of makeup as they get older?. My mother was in her 80s and always went out wearing a touch of lippy. She used to say she never felt dressed without it, lol 😊

Thanks for the demo, Helen. That foundation colour looks fabulous on you. Like you I love the foundation, but find the eyeshadows a bit too light. I'm experimenting with building it up, but like you, I need a darker shade for the lashline. It is very interesting and usual to compare notes. I love the foundation, the bronzer and the blusher. The highlighters and eyeshadows I can take or leave. Roll on spring 🙏⚘️ Love, Anna-Marie x

Hello Helen. I used laura Geller for a long time. I liked the baked foundation but i too found the eye shadow quite weak in colour. They look good in the pallette but diminish on the eye. I am not using it at the moment but may go back to it. Your completed look did look very natural and really nice. The colour of your top added to the the lovely look too. Thank you Helen for your time.

Hi Helen. I haven’t invested in any facial gadgets or Botox mostly because I can’t afford them! I do follow a daily cleansing and moisturising routine and I try to look my best with just the basics and a touch of make up when I go out of the house. I’ve actually never heard of the Laura Geller brand and I suspect it’s not available in Greece but I always enjoy a review of particular cosmetic products. We are currently in the midst of a thunderstorm here so it’s not always sunny in the Med either! You always look lovely whatever make up you use.❤️

It can do more harm than good, AND it costs a lot of money too! Just a bit of makeup is enough! Embrace your age! ✨️ xx

Hi Helen. Another great video, thank you. Hope your appt went well. I was at Gloucester Hospital last Monday at the skin clinic. They looked at a small area on my face. Then they found another near to it. Not cancer but definitely sun damage, so they used liquid nitrogen to burn them off to prevent any changing. No pain at all, and the area has just gone dry and peeled, so it's all good. See you soon. Nana Karen UK

Love your makeup/gadget tutorials. We all need a little extra help has we age and your ideas etc are all natural and non-invasive. Your makeup looks all so natural and is more effective than those who plaster it on and think they are covering up and trying to look younger. You can hardly see your eleven lines, didn't know they were called that. I must try the Primark mascara it looks great and doesn't look clumpy. I heard a little quote the other day, 'all that lives must die, passing through nature to eternity' - Shakespeare. Somehow I found it comforting for some reason ❤❤

Hi Helen - I have been a subscriber for some time now, and I really enjoy your channel. I am 67yrs old and retired from teaching last year. At one point, whilst still working, I toyed with the idea of having a tiny bit of botox and fillers done to ‘freshen’ my face…..but the fear of ending up looking like a cross between Simba from the Lion King, and the friendly lion from The Wizard of Oz has so far prevented me from actually going ahead with the procedures, as I think that so many celebrities who’ve had work done all seem to end up looking a bit like big cats! Or is it just me who thinks that lol? I’ve been using Laura Geller products for over 20 years and have many of her different collections - all bought from QVC who have really good deals on their cosmetics, and excellent return policies. Over the years I have tried many different make-up brands - cheap & expensive - but my favourite morning make up routine now is Yensa Pink Lotus Peptide Renewal Cream as a primer, then No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense liquid foundation in Calico, (my all time favourite liquid foundation which doesn’t sit in lines & wrinkles) followed by a light dusting of Laura Geller Balance & Glow Fair shade baked foundation on top which gives a subtle glow. I also use her natural blushers on my cheeks and a touch on my outer eyelids (not the satin blushers…I don’t use shiny or glittery makeup now) and I like her brown mascara and brown Eye Caligraphy liquid liner. I try to aim for a more natural made up look nowadays to be honest. Long gone are the days of Miners shiny, purple or turquoise or green metallic cream eyeshadows that I wore when I was 15yrs old😂. Bronzers, shapers and highlighters I like the idea of and I’ve tried several…and I like how my granddaughters achieve that sculpted polished look…but I just don’t think that they suit me no matter which brand or how subtly I apply them🤷‍♀️. Enjoyed your video today😊.

I love Laura Geller (foundation, blush, bronzer and French Vanilla highlighter). Even at 69, I have somewhat oily skin. I gave up on liquid foundation years ago. I don’t use the eye makeup. And agree with the lip pencil… I also use No.7 Thanks for sharing.

Hi Helen - I agree re the LG make-up - nothing very special and I would imagine it might be less than moisturising for a dry skin. I have never used it but I always think it looks a wee bit patchy when applied. Glad to hear the funeral went ok and that Billy handled it so well. Undoubtedly fear of the unknown is usually far worse than reality so it’s good he’s got that first difficult experience out of the way. I was giggling at you talking about going a bit nuts on a cruise and paying a fortune for bad Botox. We’re just back from our first ever cruise (it was utterly fabulous!) and one day, when we were at sea, I went for an 80 minute deep tissue massage. The massage itself was not cheap (but it WAS to die for) and afterwards, in my robe-clad, “gooey” and “glowing” state of utter relaxation, I found myself buying face and eye products which cost an absolute arm and a leg…about 2 times the cost of the actual massage! I have to say though, using these products back home, they are wonderful but I have many wonderful skincare products and really did not need those! So you’re right, being on a cruise does make us do some bonkers things! Thank goodness Botox wasn’t being offered on my cruise! Loving your zesty sweatshirt and looking forward to your upcoming hauls. Thanks Helen…you do make me giggle (“…fill your boots, fill your face”) 🤣🤣🤣 Mary (Scottish Hel’s Belle living in France) 🤗

Hi Helen, the Halo looks a lovely tool. I haven’t visited the website so don’t know the price. I have used Laura Geller foundation for years along with other items such as the Spackle (primer). The foundation is light weight so if viewers like a heavier feel I don think it is for them. I think it is good for summer, and also very easy to apply (it can be done without a mirror) as you just swirl the brush around your face! I have a light mole on one cheek and that provides a gauge as to if it has covered my skin ok. The foundation comes in matte called Balance and Brighten, and a more glowing look Balance and Glow which isn’t particularly shimmery. I use both. I also use the blusher, and a bronzer called Tahitian Glow for summer radiance including on legs. I would agree that the eye shadows are not very pigmented so I use other products. Laura Geller products are usually cheaper on QVC, especially when there is a special offer, which is when I buy it. On that website, I have had packs of foundation in a smaller size of only about 1” and a half size which are useful to take on holidays. Thank you for demonstrating the products.

Like you say Helen, each to their own with the Botox and filler situation, however, there is no way I would touch anything like that, especially when it changes people beyond all recognition. I think it can become a very slippery slope.

Hi Helen, I have a mask and a Ziip. I am 69 years old this year and totally agree I want to make myself the best that I can be. That said I have to realise using both I am never going to look 50 again. I would never go down the road of Botox. I get called ‘resting bitch’ all the time haha. Wayne recently done a video of Qure which is micro needling - he recommends. Go with the make up Helen, far better. Thanks for sharing xx

I love Laura Geller products. But be so careful in the sun ☀️ don’t put it anywhere near your eyes. The mineral formulation seems to attract the sun and it’s easy to burn. I ended up with badly swollen eyelids at the start of a holiday.

Hi Helen I thought the finished look was lovely and fresh but you appeared to have to work hard to achieve it. I looked at the price in the link provided and thought it was enough money for a ‘fresh’ result ( I say fresh because that’s the look at the moment if I’m not mistaken), I’m sure you have other products to hand that perform better with less effort. You are looking very trim lately and blooming, are you able to share the secret? Loving all your content as always and looking forward to the next, fingers crossed for your hospital appointment.

Funny story. I was 22 when my older sisters encouraged me to go with them to see my Dad in the chapel of rest. When we got there I still wasn’t sure I wanted to see him so I stayed in a room down the corridor while they went in. They came back saying oh Barb he looks so peaceful we think you should go see him…so I did (alone) I walked in looked in the coffin and thought oh my goodness it looks nothing like my Dad. They didn’t think to tell me I would be passing another coffin before I got to Dad’s. You can imagine the laughter with the tears whenever we mentioned that day. xx

I've never used any Laura Geller but my daughter likes the foundation. My ex step daughter started using Botox in her 30's (still don't understand why as she had lovely skin and a beautiful face). Haven't seen her in 13 years or so but did see some photos of her on someone else's FB page just last week. It looks very much like she's gone down the filler route as well as Botox and I've got to admit to feeling sad at how she looks now. Her face looks distorted and I understand totally when you said your daughter's said "you don't look like you" because she doesn't now look like she did. Appreciate we all get older and I'm very much in the camp of do what makes you happy, but it just made me feel sad 😔.
