Sweet finds! The marmalade is outstanding. The aqua bottle with the "16" on the base-that's more likely a mold number-the bottle is older than 1916. Looks like the 1880s stuff I find. And the little barrel is a mustard. HH

Thanks Charlie. That makes sense it's late 1800's because we found a porcelain doll head made in Germany that had 1894 on the back of the head. Thanks for watching bro.

Cool finds Cache. James Keiller marmalade was started in 1862, your stoneware jar is from the 20-30's. I have found a few down my way and alot more broken ones. They were exported in the white jars until the late 30's then switched to glass and screw caps. A sweet spot, keep on digging man!!

CoinandRelicOntario Thanks Andrew. I gave it to Sebastian because its his spot and he really liked it. I think it could be turn of the century because thats right where he got his 1894 embossed porcelain doll head that I love. Either was not rare but still a decent find.

Looks like you are in a dump that dates from about 1900-1910. The first top is from an applied lip case gin. They usually date from 1860's to the 1880's. I've only found the bottom of the older Dundee marmalade before. The date of 1862 refers to an award date rather than actual date. It is probably about 1900. The bottle with the number 16 is an 1880's medicine.

@cachemole
@cachemole 6 жыл бұрын
bluesdigger 66 Thanks Todd. The colored ones are my favorite too. Keep your eyes open for glass shards and look down any embankments for dumps on those old properties your hunting. I bet most of your spots are hiding great old bottles in the privies but the home owner would have to be ok with a big dig.
