sir, This video helped me a lot to understand the dynamic analysis. I am also working on the same type of problem but in that case, I need to use the pressure of flowing fluid (not hydrostatic pressure). Have you made any video in such type of problem then please let me know. it is something like a combination of fluent and explicit Dynamics.
@graspengineering92494 жыл бұрын
you can do easily....you just need to map cfd results in fea, just get pressure mapping in fea & solve static and then connect with explicit deck as mentioned in video

Thanks for the great video. Can you also provide the ansys explicit quasi static analysis for sandwich structure?
@graspengineering9249 Жыл бұрын
Welcome. There is very less requirement for quasi static simulations, hence no training.
@AnuragGupta-op7uz Жыл бұрын
@@graspengineering9249 actually i want to simulate the condition when a uniaxial compression load is applied on the honeycomb lattice structure sandwich between two rigid plates where bottom plate is fixed while top plate moves slowly downward. Since such type of simulations are non-linear, so explicit works well. If is possible for your team to simulate such condition, then please make one video on this topic. Thanks

@@AnuragGupta-op7uz did you get your model working on quasi-static analysis? can you share your experience?
@AnuragGupta-op7uz3 ай бұрын
@@ajayjayswal yes I am getting a model working in quasi static analysis, but that model I have simulated through Abaqus/Explicit instead of Ansys. In abaqus explicit, time period to be applied is too small and run the job. After job completion, check the energy plots and see whether the kinetic energy is small compared to internal energy of system. This energy check criteria is must as we are using explicit solver to run quasi static simulations. Also, self contact is also provided apart from the general contact.

Have you tried reducing mesh size on floor and doing the run and checking stress?
@graspengineering92492 жыл бұрын
As floor is not rigid in this simulation, so if you change the mesh size stress might also vary.

Hello sir , thanks for the helpful tutorial. Do you know how to calculate tangent modulus (any formula is there?) to account bilinear material model. It will be great if you can help on this.
@graspengineering92492 жыл бұрын
Thank you ! We generally extract materials from ASME or refer from matweb. You can easily goggle the tangent modulus formula from internet.

How do I determine 'number of steps' and 'end time' in analysis settings. Am using Ansys version 19.1.
@graspengineering92493 жыл бұрын
It is input for the analysis. You should aware of time frame, where bottle is dropped at what time it will take to reach the floor ( impact). Just try with approximate values first as suggested in video.

Check the direction of drop. Also try to follow the this tutorials, you should get the similar results shown in video.
