To reset it you could just drop the ring over the stick and pull the small ball through the ring. That might be much easier.

Just tried it, does not work. The ring is too tight to slide over the Stick and two ropes. It gets stuck and you cannot get it to the end of the stick.

To reassemble it, put the ring on the stick again, let it slide to the two balls, then loosen the larger ball's side of string, and pull the smaller ball through the ring.

I had the same thought as well (the inverse is how I solved it in my mind). As long as the ring can move with the friction of 2 strings and the stick you're in the clear.

one ball comes out first at the top, then the stick, then put ring around bottom of stick and pull it out, resulting in the 2nd ball being the last part out. Didn't watch the video just looked at it and guessed

To get the ring back into it's starting position can't you just put it on the stick and let it slide down into the bottle? At that point both sides of the cord will go through it but if you shake it a bit the smaller ball should just slip through the ring leaving it stuck on the end with the bigger ball.

Slide it through the hole and loop it through both cords and then pull the ring off the stick. WAY EASIER

Semi-Spoiler (Early Observation) Just from looking at the puzzle I can see a slit on the wooden pole which could fit the coin on the string... I can also see that on the right side of the the thumbnail the slit can reach outside the bottle so it seems like a solution to me

To reassemble it, couldn't you just push the ring over the stick, pull the stick out as far as you're able, which should leave the ring on both cords, then maneuver the small ball through the ring? I am terrible at puzzles, so there's probably a reason why it won't work, but I don't see why.

Excellent question. The only way I can think of is this order: - attach the big ball to the string. - throw the small ball in the bottle - put all the rest (you end up with the final puzzle except the small ball is not connected) - connect the small ball by carfully (painfully!) getting the string through the ball - pull the free end of the string out and do a knot the knot will not be visible because the end of the small ball has a sort of recess (I'm guessing here). But that's maybe less painful using long twisers. I'm curious to know how Mr Puzzle thinks this is assembled/made in the first place.

Wait a second. The ring diameter is small enough to get through the bottleneck and it's big enough to be put onto the stick. When the ring is out of the bottle, what if you just put the ring onto the stick and try to pull it along the stick into the bottle, not using the long hole? I don't have the puzzle to check myself, unfortunately, but it seems to me that it should get into the bottle. And maybe the smaller ball will get through the ring as well. Would you check that, please?

There is a hole trough each ball. Big on one side, small on the other side. The knot is inside.

How do you get the stick and rope out? Did they attach one of the balls with everything inside the puzzle as I don't see any other way they could do it if the stick and rope doesn't come out as well.

If you pull very hard you will pull off the ball from the cord. When you put them back in the bottle it is possible to stack the two balls and put them back in. But the cord is under very high tension. It is not possible to get the balls in this position when they are inside the bottle. I know because I took everything out to clean the bottle before recording this video. ;)

Yes, that is what happened. The big ball was disconnecting from the cord. Also during the reassembly, it happened two times before I was able to put it back again. The length of the cord is exactly trimmed to fit the disassembly of the ring but not a complete disassembly.
