I’m here right outside of Philly, in the Lansdowne area. I was a victim of the Camp Lejeune water contamination that lasted from the 1950s to 80s. My family and I were affected in the early 80s…. So years of contamination had built up. My mom died of cancer and me and my Dad are survivors. It took the US Gov over 40 years to finally admit that they were solely responsible. Many veterans and dependents have died since exposure. Sadly I feel like I am reliving the lies, cover ups and lack of accountability all over again. I do not trust anyone, any system, any entity. Keep in mind that once they give the all-clear, all the pipe lines from the treatment plant to the water towers, to your tap will still potentially be tainted. Until that water gets flushed through, there will still be an issue.

No one in Bucks County will be impacted since the spill happened at the southernmost tip of the county, directly northeast of the city. The Delaware River flows south, so the contaminated water will flow south into Philadelphia and the Philadelphia water treatment plants will pump out contaminated water to all of Philly except west and southwest.
