I remember when I went to B4G last year, before the show, Austin Aries came out and said, " Why are you cheering me, didn't you see Impact? I am the bad guy, boo me tonight", I laughed so hard. Then, of course, he came out being cheered.

I've heard so many more good stories about Edge that outweigh the bad... And Edge doesn't act like heel Edge in meet and greets... I'm just saying.

Andrea Beeler it was a moment that was bad because of me but Edge was the 1st wrestler I have met. Some of my friends have got the chance to meet him a few times and I have never heard a bad story. Because when he interrupted me I didn't finish my sentence I could see him thinking I was a dick who didn't appreciate the moment when I walked away

I think I'm one of the few people who had a good experience meeting cm punk. Met him in late 2011 and he was a very cool guy had a decent conversation with him and he kept saying thanks whenever I complemented him. He had no problem signing my mitb 2011 dvd.

I think wrestlers, who are suppose to be heels, prefer to be booed because...they're heels. If people are cheering for someone who's suppose to be the bad guy, they might think they're not doing a good enough job getting people to hate them. Or they might think there's something wrong with the fans if they cheer for someone who rubs the "ashes" of a deceased person on himself.
@megamarsonic10 жыл бұрын
Haas has a point about the whole "not cheering heels" thing. I've always wondered just how many heel wrestlers actually like being cheered for. I mean I'm sure there are some out there that do, but I always felt like the majority of them would rather be booed so their characters could get over. I know that, if I was a heel wrestler, I'd want to be hated so much that security would have to stop fans from hopping over the barricade to kick my ass. The whole thing about them claiming you didn't pay to get a picture with them is a different story. That just wasn't right for them to do that to you.

Well, the guys who're heel and get cheered know why they're getting cheered. Because they're that damn good in the ring and on the mic, that us fans know that they're great and can't help but cheer them. Guys like CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, The Shield...

Oops, accidentally clicked "done". I hate wrestlers/fans who don't think heels should be cheered at all. Any noise is good noise. You have the choice to: Cheer, Boo, or be completely quiet. And you don't wanna boo someone you like, and if you're completely quiet, management will think people don't care about them at all, so the only choice left is to cheer. Wrestlers should be happy someone likes them.

I like having autographs, just because that's 'the thing' to have. But in the end, who cares. It's just a person scribbling their name. A picture holds, 1. Proof you met a wrestler (or whoever you're meeting) and 2. A memory. A autograph doesn't compare to a picture with them from a collection stand point, maybe for a selling stand point.
@LuckySmurf11 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but that's not the point. If they're portraying a bad guy, they expect to be treated as such by the crowd. It's like how people compliment an actor's ability to portray a evil person. You're complimenting them on their acting skills, not the fact that they're the bad guys, which is what I think wrestlers are aiming for.

Im sorry, but based on your video, i don't see how you expected to come out of this feeling good about things. First and foremost, if you want to have a good experience, dont throw in their faces how much you spent to meet them. Everybody else in line paid the same price and isnt bitching and the wrestler didnt ASK you to be there, so all you're doing is setting yourself up for a bad experience. Also, asking things like holding the belt can work in your favor or it can blow up in your face like this did . Just some free advice on meet and greet etiquette... Keep in mind, there's a lot of people behind you and there was likely a lot of people before you so the wrestler has to keep the line moving. The conversation should be a hello, how are you? And, thanks a lot. I really appreciate you taking the time today and wrap it up with a hand shake. The whole thing should take 15-20 seconds. The people that ruin it for everyone are the ones that insist on telling thw wrestler how great they are or "why arent they giving you a push?" Or a story about how they saved your life and motivated you to blah blah blah. Believe me, theres nothing you can say they havent heard 500 times. To make sure you have a good experience, keep it short and sweet and by doing that, you give the wrestler less opprtinity or reason to get pissy with you. The whole point of this is to "meet" them, get you pic and or autograph and move along. Also, you have to read the situation and decide if theres an opportunity to maybe take the extra time to ask a silly question. Keep in mind your question doubled the amount of time it takes to complete the process, so if theres 500 people behind you, they need to make it quick because the goal is to make sure everybody gets their few seconds with them. Besides, this is why i personally dont pay for meet and greets. Theyre usually a cattle call and you'll always leave disappointed because it never quite goes the way you wanted to. They usually end up falling short of expectations. So yeah, if youre going to play the meet and greet game, keep in mind you really only have roughly 15 seconds with the person. So, you can keep it simple and get what you paid for or you can risk it by saying too much and ending up feeling rushed by the wrestler and nobody wants to feel that way because those meet and greets arent cheap. So yesh, be cool and respect their time and the people behind you in line and usually it'll go well. Im just not a big fan of asking questions because it puts them in a situation where they have to act like they've never heard that before or give a fake laugh. Again, be cool with them and usually they'll he cool with you.
