It’s even more funny when you realize her inability to understand sarcasm literally leads to almost every big event in the movie: She wasn’t able to tell PJ was joking when she said “yeah we went to juvie” and Josie “ate shit” when referring to her arm injury. She then spread the rumor they went to juvie and ate shit (which Britany brings up in the first day of class) which leads to their new reputations. Then the whole bomb thing. “Yeah let’s do terrorism” and she like “yeah okay” and bombs Jeff’s car which leads to a lot of other stuff going down.

I'm on my fifth rewatch and I hadn't even noticed! This film has an incredible number of layers, from the easter eggs to the hidden text puns (from Mr. G's blackboard to school posters)!@@W4TSKY

hazel is the best!!! understandable you loved her as well, the actress is ruby cruz and she stars in "willow," which is a sapphic fantasy series where she plays a princess who is really just a knight at heart (she gets to wear armour and wield swords it's amazing)

Also the girl that plays Brittany, Kaia Gerber, is Cindy Crawford’s daughter which is why she’s so beautiful. This entire cast was hysterical. I loved how this movie is so satirical. Watching it again you notice all of the things in the background are so hilarious as well.

That's so cool! That definitely explains why she's so beautiful lol It's funny you mention noticing details in the background when watching it again. While editing, I noticed certain background moments that I definitely missed the first time watching, like the guy with his corndog in the background during the lunch scene when PJ asks how the diner 'date' went with Isabel lol

I've noticed that every reaction to this movie I've seen so far the reactors get whiplash when Jeff says "Don't talk to me you ugly bitch" to Josie (including me) I don't know why but it's so intriguing to see everyone have the exact same reaction.

yess this movie is seriously so fun!! besides rachel, the actress for josie is in the hulu show “the bear” and another movie from this year “theater camp” and the actor for jeff most recently has been known for the movie “red white and royal blue” which would be another movie from this year that i would recommend checking out!

omggg bottoms was literally the funniest movie ive seen this year and if you can you should really check out red white and royal blue! nicholas galitzine plays a gay prince and the story and acting is phenomenal, he plays sad characters so well haha

Definitely one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time! If you liked Nicholas (guy who played Jeff), you should definitely check out Red, White & Royal Blue. He plays a VERY different role, and it’s so amazing to witness his talent and range! He’s also in a brand new show called Mary & George, where he stars opposite Julianne Moore, AND a new movie called The Idea of You, with Anne Hathaway! Our boy is doing big things! 😍
