By the way, the other day i was looking for challenges that beat Baldurs Gate with only Connor (the worst summoning for me) or completely in gaseous form (only 1 point of damage and limited interaction, i think), but i didn't find any of both. i share them with you in case they serve as ideas for a next video! thanks for the vids, you're one of my favorites content creators!

Heres an idea for the next challenge playthrough. Beating the game by only dealing damage with scrolls. You could also make a narrative for the character like he was a barbarian that really wanted to be a wizard so he only uses scrolls to make people think hes a wizard

Only scrolls is how I late gamed my jack of all trades run because there was nothing else that damned character could really do other than cast vicious mockery and mildly upcasted chromatic orb. But I'd be curious about a solo scrolls only run since they're harder to come by early game and mostly include such powerful spells as protection from good and evil and detect thoughts. But a one-two burning hands snd grease combo 👍🏻 Now if he could ONLY use scrolls.... that gets rid of heal abilitiess other than aid and gets rid of some utility cantrips (and cantrips become harder to come by)

Came to the newest video for a recommendation on your "can you beat BG3" series. "Can you beat BG3 without magic?" Not as difficult as a couple of the runs you did, but it would be an interesting concept none the less. There's a couple of builds that don't use "magic" per se. Both Fighter Champion and Battle Master are purely martial. Barbarian Berseker and Wildheart (minus speak with animals) don't use spells. Rogue Assassin and Thief. Then if you want to have a fourth you could do a College of Swords Bard but not use a single spell, as I count "bardic inspiration" as non-magical; since it's more about bolstering resolve through song (like a drummer boy in war). If the run isn't challenging enough like that, limit yourself in the gear you can choose. You can't use gear that gives special features; only "+1" to "+3" gear that's just better versions of normal equipment. Only potions you can use are healing pots, since everything else could be defined as a liquid spell (healing pots too, but no healing has already been done). You could run around with sussur flowers in your pockets to negate enemy spellcasters too. Leveling the playing field somewhat.

My guess would be playing on honour mode makes many of them quite hard to accomplish, as you have to play the exact way through a playthrough, many times over, to get many of them. Such as saving everyone, which is easy to accidently mess up in act 3 and then you've just spent 50-100 hours and failed the achievement and have to start again

I have 600 hours and don't have every achievement. I like to do nearly everything in the game, but I am not an achievement hunter. I don't care about getting a certain amount of gold from playing music or defeating 20 enemies while drunk (that might change in patch 8 though with a way of the drunken master subclass being added lol)

I was at 1000.5 hours when I hit 100% (although to be fair, my last achievement was evil urge and I wanted to wait for Patch 7 for that run and had to do an entire run for it because I delete my save files prior to the epilogue party when I complete a run). Pkaying on Honour would make things like save all the tieflings or free all the prisoners a lot harder. While I dumb lucked my way to both of those on balanced, I'm pretty sure only the kids, a lonely Lakrissa, and a very angry Rolan made it to Act 3 on Honour. Also there's things like romancing the Emperor or Karlach that are just RP things or busking to 100 gp that are just for laughs that feel out of place in a challenge run.

I'd like to see a breakdown of the 100% on Honour version that requires a dead halfling being shoved into Orin's pocket and bamfing them off to the Assylum to get Orin's Netherstone and a beefy Jaheira jumping into Wyrm's Rock to kidnap Gortash and yeet him i to oblivion. That you figured this all out in 5 hours, I take my very silly hat off to you.

It's fun they allow to skip character creation, since learned to speedrun that, and never managed to get it under 2min47s so it would double the any% category runs for sure. Those pesky little menus. Ofc, I didn't do it speedrunning in mind, just so I could start my full long Honour mode run with Us, and a minute of that was charcter Appearance + Dream Guardian, but stats took still longer with spells and all Gj, that's amazing result after only 5 hours!

Okay so hear me out: What if you try to beat BG3 with only *Cheaters Fireball* from the cheaters scroll mod? Its stupidly powerful so it'll be one hit encounter kills galore, but its also a huge AoE and if you arent using the invincibility cheats you can also kill yourself easy. Ending encounters before you encounter them can also utterly break the game. Limit yourself to one nuke per turn, avoid any source of immunity, do nothing else but use your normal movement, and thats that. When your only tool is a nuclear hand grenade, all your solutions are also problems. 😊

I think in-game time is the metric used, so loading screens don't count against you. It's why is 5+ minute run technically counted as a 3 minute 59 second run
