Yes, a inverter is a MUST. if don’t have shore power. I tell everyone, get what you can afford and at lest 3000 or more. If you need it you have it. You are giving good advice

I have the 2000 watt and love it. Want the 3000 watt but it doesn’t offer Bluetooth yet.

Bluetooth is handy if you’re close enough and there’s no obstructions to affect range. I find myself using the wired display that mounted at the electrical panel more often.

I have this same BougeRV 12/2000 watt inverter. I had it in a shed powering a mini freezer. Re thinking / low vs high freq inverters, and the fact I want some peace of mind......went Victron for an always on situation..

Great comprehensive test. I have a couple comments/questions. First, the outlets; one is a 15 amp and one is a 20 amp. The bluetooth app seems to be very good with much flexibility. I think the greatest feature is that the unit puts out 120 volts in pure sine wave. It has the ability to adjust down to 115 and 110, but why would one want to do that? I've looked at multiple inverters and almost all of them output 110 volts. That low voltage will cause damage to many items so I would not consider any inverter that does not put out 120 volts. I did not see any in the video, but did you install any switches, fuses, or breakers? Did you connect the inverter to ground? The wired display seemed nice too. After watching your video, I placed an order for one on the BougeRv site. Was cheaper than Amazon. Thanks for the test!

Thanks. The voltages weren’t an issue. As with most inverters at this class there can be some slight variation as large loads occur, but wasn’t an issue in testing. The electronics and small to mid sized appliances ran with no issues. I have a project where I’m adding the inverter to our daughter’s camper later this year as a 120 fridge backup. It will be part of a solar install and will have the complement of fuses, a 120v 15A transfer switch, but no breakers. We’ll tie to frame ground at install. Project is a few months out to get access to the camper so stay tuned. Appreciate you watching.

thanks very much for this high-quality review with the amps, voltage and sine wave. I know you like to run under the max, in this case 1800-1900 watts, and the battery should have 3600 watt hours. Using 85% would be around 3060 watt hours, considering how the battery level was dropping, would you really get 1.7 hours of use (3060/1800) = 1.7 hours? thanks!

Thanks. Longevity would depend on the BMS. I’ve found it’s not always linear, but best estimate would be around 2 hours. This was more an evaluation of the inverter, but I wanted to answer those who want to know the feasibility of running an air conditioner off lithium. It’s possible, but it won’t last long.

shouldn't the scope be scrolling, that looks much more like a capture.

Not with this model. If I had a larger screen, the camera lens would have shown the slight variations in the wave form as the wattage increased and decreased.

That battery is not what it claims to be. Too much sag too quickly. Retest with a good battery.
@iLoveRVlife3 ай бұрын
Regardless of battery sag, it has no impact on the performance of the inverter since the operating voltage was well with the limits. This was a review of an inverter, not the battery. The inverter worked well within its specifications. Retesting with another battery would be pointless.
