I purchase this battery in March 2024 and installed in my 5th wheel with a 3000W inverter. I love it. Great for not having to run a generator unless I need AC ( however, I did accidently run the AC off the inverter for about 3 hours). I have also used it during scheduled power outages at my house for my home office and refrigerators. I have a 1000W of solar to charge it.

Really a superior quality battery. A tad expensive, but you get what you pay for. I think this would also make a superior 24v battery, hopefully they will come out with one. The cables required for 12v are really difficult to work with.

The pressure relief valve of my rotomolded cooler seemed silly until I came down from 6,000 feet elevation, back to my home at ~230 feet elevation, couldn't open my cooler, twisted the valve and the pressure equalized. So I do see a benefit should that case be well sealed to have the ability to vent.

I watched your video, was impressed, bought one, and 4 weeks later I think I have to return it. I've been gone for 3 of those weeks, but I would find that the inverter kept shutting off, and I thought the issue was the inverter. The thing had almost no load on it. It's like the BMS would go to sleep. Further research showed that people found that it didn't reliably detect loads under 1Amp, which maybe that's what's happening with mine. It's in my shed, and when idle just powers the charge controller, inverter (which I mainly use to power several other battery chargers), some DC powered LED lights that come on via motion sensor, and a thermostatically controlled fan. Anyhow, I'm pretty sure there's some issue with the BMS. We'll see how their support is but being that my return window closes in two days, I hope they reply with a fix very soon.

Thank you! One extremely critical thing we really need to test in all batteries is the low temp charging shut off function; I've seen batteries advertise this and it not work. If a lithium battery accidentally gets charged during freezing, it's lifespan gets shot. Are you able to perform this test? Seems like a great quality product at a decent price! Thank you!

I like 12V systems as I am familiar. I wish I had this battery though. I just finished doing a diy portable power station using EG4 inverter and the LL battery and was quite simple to connect but confusing with the manual I had. Also easier to find an inverter or charger for the 12V system and don't like that the my system in idle consumes 50W an hour. Just me not liking 48V but I have one now. As always great video.

That's a pretty battery. Looks like a good design and build except for the wiring. 2ga starts getting really hot as it nears 200amps so no way is that going to sustain 250amps. The 3x6ga fails about the same amperage. Sure seems like a natural to build a 24v in that chassis but probably wouldn't be popular enough.
@LithiumSolar5 ай бұрын
I agree, the market for 24V batteries is rather small. Most will make the step directly to 48V if a 12V system does not have adequate capacity.
@john_in_phoenix5 ай бұрын
I've been using 24v due to ampacity ratings, and the ability to fit a usable system onto a "crash cart" system. Much easier to run a 3000va Victron at 24v rather than 12v. Unfortunately I agree, not much of a market for 24v systems.
@peckerpeter20785 ай бұрын
You’re forced to do bare minimum 24v…amps need to be decreased for proper wire sizing. Those aluminum busbars are going to be super overheating as well. Don’t know why manufactures insist on using that cheap ass. Aluminum…copper is far more superior for heat and amperage plus electrical conductivity.. 48 V is a nice system. The only problem is there’s not too many components that you can find easily that will run on 48 V …12 V is fine for low amperage components as they are plentiful. 24 V and 36 V have more of a selection at a reasonable price point.. The higher the amperage the higher the heat… More Strain on components..
