Go back to thw white x5 with the damaged headlight just for the plastic tab even if its broken you can plastic weld it to your headlight

Nice but why don't you apply epoxy primerr to bare sheet metal before filler? That's a mistake, corrosion will come out faster under the putty.

What paint brand/system do you use? You seem to always get fantastic results and a lot of that is painter skill and preparation, but the paint itself has something to do with it as well.
