My collection consists mainly of Private Pressings from america. My pride and joy is a record from a band called Marble Phrogg - "Self Titled" ( 1968)out of Oklahoma (where I'm from), Totty - "Self-Titled" (1977) from Tulsa, Oklahoma...so many others. Last week I was in a thrift store and came across, Christopher -"Self-Titled" (1970 Metromedia Records), Pacific Sound "Forget Your Dream" (1972 Splendid Records), Tear Gas - "Self-Titled" (1971 Regal Zonophone), Randy Holden "Population 2" (1970 Hobbit Records), Spring "Self-Titled" (1971 RCA/Neon Records), Zior - "Self-Titled" (1971 Nepenthia Records), Jericho - "Self-Titled" (1972 A&M Records), Jasper Wrath - "Self-Titled" (1971 Sunflower Records), May Blitz "The Second Of May" (1971 Vertigo Records) and Sagittarius - "Present-Tense" (1967 Columbia Records) all in Mint to VG++ condition...and they were all $.50 a piece... couldn't fucking believe it.

After you pulled out a few Deram rarities, I thought the last record was going to be one of these: Mellow Candle's Swaddling Songs, Room's Pre-Flight, Zakarrias's self titled or Leaf Hound's Growers of Mushroom. 😁 I am going to take a wild guess here that not everything was expensive, because you picked up some stuff that you claimed you never heard of. No collector will ever do that when it comes to high priced records. Anyway, happy listening to your new collection

Thank you sir and your bandmates for making one of the most sought after slices of psychedelia known, the fantastic music contained in the grooves of this extremely rare record have made original copies very expensive and out of the reach of mortal beings. I know as an artist you would rather have seen great record sales and success back in 1968, but then we would not have this rare gem to search out. Most of my record collecting friends, and ALL of us psych collectors here in the Toronto area have that record on our want list. A couple of guys have Canadian pressings, which are as rare as hens teeth , one other fellow made the mistake of selling his original U.K. press many years ago and always reminds us how foolish that was. Unless I find a forgotten original copy at a yard sale or thrift store someday, I will have to be satisfied with vinyl reissues, after all, its the music that counts. I also have two copies of Second Of July, one that spins at 45 rpm and the other at 33 and a third. Cheers.

Fantastic, nice first and early pressings of some great and rare albums. McKenna Mendelson Mainline was a Toronto band that recorded their Stink album in the U.K. Good hard rock blues album but there is a better recording of the band done in Sept. 1968 in Toronto called McKenna Mendelson Blues originally on the Paragon label, killer, raw heavy psych rock blues. A record collecting buddy ran into Mike McKenna the guitar player many years ago and asked him why the Blues album sounded better than Stink and he replied ' we were on acid when we recorded the Blues album".

No way! When did he sell it? I don’t know when it got to the insane price that it has been the last 10-15 years that I have known about it. Well. If I had a Genesis that I could trade for a Leaf Hound I would do it without blinking. Man that is one hell of a record!

@@SublimMedia He only sold it in December. He wanted the money so he could donate it for a very good cause. I think he got about £2800 ( I am not sure) the condition was about EX and he wrote a letter to accompany the sale. I bought his copy of the July '45 which also has a letter as it was nice to have a little story all the while helping a good cause. He does get a % royalty from Mike Oldfield's share of Tubular Bells but he would be a much richer man if that royalty was from the total royalty including Richard Bransons cut! My Genesis was a great deal as I sold that for about £2000 and added another £500 for my Leaf Hound which was in nice shape. I bought my Genesis on the same day I bought Blue by John Dummer, which is your only Vertigo. It was in top shape so I immediately placed that copy in an old record box with a sheet divider to protect the die-cut of the clouds as I have seen this LP suffer from damage which seems to come from that LP in plastic sleeve. I advise you do the same. I keep all top condition LPs with delicate features in old Readers Digest record boxes.

I don't remember hearing Fläsket brinner but because name sounded interesting and it has cool cover I went to ckech it from Discogs. AND one song name "Tysta Finskan"! :D Well that was quite a haul. There is much to listen for. mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs)
