Hey man I'm 48 years old and I just bought one of these bikes and it is a blast. I always wanted a Redline or Hutch or Haro , but my mother couldn't afford any of those so I settled for the old Huffy. But, I have one now, as well as a Haro and I love them.

I've been riding bmx non stop since 1982 now 2021 and still riding and smashing the teens at the pipe and bowls. At 50 i still feel like 20, 25 years old. Gym weight training helps a crap load. And don't worry of course you'll fall it's part of the fun brother.
@falconx57442 жыл бұрын
Thats great to hear you kept it up all these years man, i stopped and went to mtb for years and rode bmx the odd occasion, now at 50 im wanting to start racing with a couple of mates, just trying to work out to go a 20 or 24, the 24 feels more planted and i feel more confident specially as my mtb is a 29er, starting slowly but loving it. One thing i never stopped is weight training/boxing it makes a massive difference you are correct 👍 keep enjoying buddy!

I'm 65, and bought a 24" Framed "Getaway" BMX bike a couple of days ago for $367 (including tax). I haven't biked for decades, so when I finally receive it, I hope I don't fall on my face. It's should be good exercise, and work on my equilibrium.

I love that cruiser! I am almost 50 and I ride a stripped down Redline 20" freestyle bike (2001 5 $pot) that I found in a pawn shop about 15 years ago and have ridden it off and on ever since. I just ordered a set of Skyway mags for it and looking for a set of old school Red Line decals for the chrome frame. I’m a bigger guy (6’1", 200lbs) so I have a laid back seat post to give me more legroom with a gel seat to help with my old tailbone when I want to sit down and cruise but I stand up on the pedals most of the time due to pain of riding all these years. I have been looking for something a little larger without all the freestyle stuff (detangler, dual brakes, larger gussets etc.). I think I may start to look for one of these but I highly doubt I find a deal like you did!

How big are you? I just bought a Redline MX24. I’m 5’9” and 215lbs. I feel like I’m kissing my knees when I petal. I want to raise the seat but it’s almost out of the frame. Suggestions?
@TonyHob2 жыл бұрын
I’m 5’10”, 200 lbs. You can buy a longer seat tube but these newer bikes are really designed just for racing where you are out of the saddle. Not like the old 80’s and 90’s bikes that were easier to use to cruise around as well.
