This is comfort food for my soul. I was born in '84 and had both giants of the 16 bit era. I played so many of these. Over the last 15 yrs or so, I've had the opportunity to finally play through & beat some all time classics that alluded me as a kid (over various platforms, mediums). Just last year I played through Mario RPG for the 1st time, what a fun game. It's perfect for a first time or just inexperienced RPG player...Now I'm on to FF III, & Chrono Trigger. All new to me.

Final Fantasy III (VI) and Chrono Trigger are both incredible. Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite games of all time

@damonke79 Yeah I know. As a person who considers himself a retro gamer, I left a big gap w/RPG's. As a kid, I was on Ritalin for being hyperactive, so I guess there was some ADD with the RPGs...I hope Seven Stars was a good training ground.

In the Super Nintendo area, I definitely recommend you to get the European version of the console. This one is much nicer and the games have a nice roundness. Not on that list, Illusion of Gaia. When I was growing up I LOVED that game. Made sure to buy a copy BNIB just so I could open it myself. Even got my wife hooked on it. Very underrated game.

I remember back…(thinking)…like 20 years ago when Link to the Past was still kind of old in terms of generations, and I bought it new, sealed, and perfect as it could be off of eBay for like $40. I’d had a dream about it and wanted to play it. So I bought that sealed copy, opened it, and played it. I thought about keeping it pristine, but then I really wanted to play it. No regrets. A sale is a one time thing, but a game well enjoyed can last a lifetime.

That's what it's all about: finding those gems that we missed when we couldn't buy them. And finally being able to play them. No resell value in the world can replace that feeling :)

$ 80 for F-Zero and Super Castlevania 4 wow and super Metriod for $ 80 these were the games I was surprised the most about. I remember when these were cheaper even last year I saw them go for cheaper in a store. Cool video. ^_^

Why is everyone so shocked when great games are missing from a list that greatly limits the amount of games you can have on it? You can't do a top 25 SNES game list without missing a plethora of it's best games. It's like trying to put 10 pounds of sugar in a 1 pound bag, it's impossible. Try 250 best SNES games list and you'll be able to get *almost* all of them, but only if you limit it to NA releases only.
