I bought a Browning Dark Ops on sale along with 4 cheaper cameras. A year later, only 1 of the 4 cheap cameras & my Dark Ops are still working. I have recently tested a more affordable Command Ops Pro, & I am very happy with it. I just ordered two more this week (under $80 each with free shipping). When the last cheap camera stops working, I will be using all Browning cameras. I like the simplicity of the Command Ops Pro, & it has decent specs for the price. These Browning cameras have respectable trigger speeds (0.5 second), & they are easy on batteries (only need 6 instead of 8). I like that they indicate battery condition, too.

I'll dispute the long battery life claim. I bought a Browning TC, It stops taking night pics or video when the batteries get down to 65%, doesn't matter whether Lithium or alkaline. I contacted Browning and they told me they recommend replacing the batteries at 60%. That gets expensive when I have 140 pics or 60 videos EVERY DAY. They do have the best optics and trigger speed though.
@SoloCamXTOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Sorry about your bad luck with your camera. First time I've ever heard of changing your batteries at 60%. Sounds kind of stupid to me to do that. I get months of use on one set of batteries and I usually don't change them until I get down to 20-30% which takes 3-4 months with alkaline batts. A little longer with lithium's. Browning makes great cameras but once in a blue moon there is a lemon just like anything else. In my case I must have got lucky 10 times in a row. Always been great for me.

Which of these takes best pics/videos at night, in your experience? I'm shopping now for game cams to monitor night time hog and deer movement on my farm. Thanks for the posting videos on these five cams. All appear to take excellent videos and pictures, but night clarity would be determining factor for me. Thanks from rural North Texas.

SoloCamXT Outdoors, I hope you are still monitoring this post as I wonder exactly why the Spec Ops FHD is your favorite. And is the Spec Ops FHD Extreme with a screen just as good? Also, all your videos looked good, though the Spec Ops in particular looked very crisp, but do you ever take stills? The stills on my Cabela's Outfitter Gen 3 are always very blurry, and this is for slow moving animals! Have you have tried a camera that can take photos with a fast enough shutter speed to capture a photo of an animal that is simply walking? BTW, you have some nice woods to hunt. Are you in Oregon maybe, or is it somewhat back East?
@SoloCamXTOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for stopping by. For what ever reason the Specs Ops FHD seems to be a bit more crisp than the FHD Extreme and the audio is incredibly sensitive, it picks up everything. In my opinion it's a little better. Also, the battery life is better on the standard FHD SpecOps. the Browning cameras do take very good photos, I just prefer the video because it really lets me analyze the bucks. Not to mention I get some cool stuff on audio too, bucks grunting, etc... And this is in Western Oregon east of Albany about 20 miles in the cascade foothills. It's a great area. Got some dandy blacktails around here.

The only model I've noticed with terrible audio is the Dark Ops. Other than that the others seems to pick up everything. The Spec Ops has especially sensitive audio.

What are those poles you are using to mount some of those cams on?
@SoloCamXTOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Mike Fetterly they are trail camera stakes. I have a few different ones I got from Sportsmens warehouse and Cabela’s. They are typically about $19. They are pretty slick.

@@SoloCamXTOutdoors Ok thanks man, I'll see what I can find! I run the Slate River mounts on my Browning cams and love them, but the poles would be pretty cool in certain locations. They are expensive but I have a few Recon Force and Spec Ops Advantage cams and those are top notch. Have a few of their micro cams too that work really well and the battery life on all their cams is amazing.

What a piece of crap these cameras are, I ordered 2 on Amazon and neither one works. I had 3 prior BROWNING STRIKE FORCE TRAIL Cameras and also one didn’t work and I had to send it back, I’ll never buy these Browning products again.
@SoloCamXTOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Bushpilot Explorer Wow take it easy. I have been using them for many years and no issues. As a matter of fact they work so well they are the only ones I use. I have one that has been in the woods for five years and still works great. I guess your luck just sucks.
@bushpilotexplorer19204 жыл бұрын
SoloCamXT Outdoors ~ yeah you’ve got some brains; 2 separate orders a year apart with problems with both, yes that’s just bad luck. It’s called poor quality control. Either you have had super good luck or You probably get paid by Browning, lol. so because you have a few good ones out of the thousands that have been sold that means they’re all good in your mind, very illogical
@SoloCamXTOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Bushpilot Explorer that’s what it is. You nailed it. Browning is paying joe blow over here... lol. Give me a break. I paid for every single one. Years ago I was using wild game innovations. Then moultrie and various other brands. 6 or 7 years ago I bought my first browning spec ops and it was obvious the video quality was much better. Years later I worked my way up to 7 of them. That’s my simple story dude. We obviously have a difference of opinion so just leave it at that and stop breaking my balls because I like something that you don’t.
