Dave, it's so awesome that you release these reviews weekly. Bow season is coming here soon, and I can't wait to get out. With your reviews I can and have sent a bunch of friends to you for reviews on cameras that they're interested in trying! Thanks again bud! P.S. Maybe adding a T branch on top of the tpost set would help with the birds. But then you will have to deal with dedication on top possibly.

One thing to consider with the stealth cam cellular plans... For unlimited it is $20 per camera. So if you have 2 cams w/unlimited, it's $40 a month. However, when you add a 3rd camera, it only goes up an additional $10, so $50 for 3 cams on unlimited($16.67 per cam of unlimited pics/videos). I have buddies that said it was to expensive, they pay less for the other brands, but then when they see my picture/video quality they have mostly changed to stealth cam as well. Spypoint unlimited is around $15 monthly/ Tactacam unlimited is $13, so if you're running multiple cams(which most of us are), the prices don't vary enough to sacrifice the quality(in our experience). You also have the option to pay annually, with most brands, and they are all about the same annual price of $120 for unlimited.

Bought one last week. The initial setup was simple. The app was decent, and photos were clear. Some moisture in the plastic circular cover for the lens, but I had the same thing on high moisture days with my cuddeback. Price point is good, and cell service is 4/5 bars. I've done several on demand photos and one video. I like AA batteries and simplicity as opposed to my cuddeback, which has lasted for 4 years now. Time will tell on the Stealthcam Revolver, but so far, great.

I ordered two Pros. Deployed one and love the 360 coverage and the app….but: Houston, we have condensation problems and 90% of my night pics are unusable, and a couple zones are blurry until late morning when the heat evaporates the moisture. The condensation is in the inside. Never had a camera that wasn’t water sealed like this.

I give Stealth Cam credit for thinking outside the box! Unfortunately, the first attempts arent usually the best. But give them time and I bet someone will get it right. The sound quality and picture quality were pretty good like you said. Great thorough review
@zzz7zzz95 ай бұрын
Outside the box? They are copying moultrie. Mountrie had a 150 degree cam, with a lens and flash that moved in that whole range. It was sub-par, with the moving parts. They corrected that with the follow-up cam, which was a 180 degree, with 3 lenses and flashes that each cover their zone. I have that cam, and love it.
@PBAdventures1465 ай бұрын
@zzz7zzz9 360 is double. Not sure how you are copying a 180 with a 360. 🙂 the 360 concept is obviously not new. But the system seems to be outside the box imo.
@zzz7zzz95 ай бұрын
@@PBAdventures146 sure, it's double, but that's where they got the idea from. They copied that idea but just made it 360. And a 360 isn't very practical. It can't be put on a tree. So now it has to be put on a pole or post top, and now security is an issue. So that makes it more of a private property cam.
@PBAdventures1465 ай бұрын
@zzz7zzz9 The 360 consept has been around for quite a while with all sorts of recording equipment. I think it's hard to say who was the originator of the idea just because someone actually tried something first. But I agree it's situational. Like Dave said, for a food plot not a bad idea. For me and public land not so much.
@zzz7zzz95 ай бұрын
@@PBAdventures146 even with my 180 degree, that extra range adds to the amount of things that trigger the cam. There always seemed to be bushes, etc, off to the side, that would set it off. Out in a food plot does seem like the proper place for this. And my 180 takes 12 batteries, but it's actually been very efficient. The 150 with the moving lens wasn't.
@SavageMcBeastdog5 ай бұрын
I bought one of these about a month ago. It broke after a month. The night lens or ir quit engaging and it just took pure black photos at night. Retuned it and got another. Mounted on a t post and deer seem to stay away from it. Overall I like it but in the morning dew and fog clouds the outer lens housing. Have to wait for it to melt away. I use a sol pack with mine.

Hey Dave not sure if someone else asked but does the moving of the lens make noise or no? And does the cams make sound/s when recording video?
@HuntingFarmerOfficial22 күн бұрын
It does make some noise while the lens rotates but it’s not severe. While on video mode the noise is made before it begins recording (it spins to the zone to which there was activity and then begins recording (the lens never moves while it’s actually recording)

Hello. There's someone dumping garbage on a dirt private road we own. I'm looking for recommendations on which camera to buy. The location of the camera is liking going to be away from electricity and internet connection. It would be great to capture the plates of the car as they have to drive slow and in front of the camera. I was considering getting a game/trail camera with a subscription so I can have the pictures sent to me, but I doubt the clarity of the camera will capture the plates? Any recommendations?

Yes, I’m video mode the camera can detect motion in any direction, spin the lens to the zone that activity was detected and record a video. Note: the video will remain in that zone and not follow the animal, so it’s possible the animal will walk out of frame during the video (just like any other camera)

I can imagine how many problems you would have if a little wind picks up and it’s this camera is near any kind of trees with leaves. It would be constantly taken pictures of leaves with just a little bit of breeze so I think this one is great to put out in the field, but even then, if you have tall grass nearby and it starts moving in the wind, you’re gonna have a bunch of pictures of nothing.
