Man, you guys are killing it with these videos. I have airbrushed with your products for a couple years, but was too unsure to base any panels with a mini gun. I can honestly say that Chris’s videos gave me the confidence to try it. It’s taken some playing around because of my inexperience, but I’m starting to get some great results. So the videos are selling product. Granted the amount I use is a drop in the ocean lol, but still. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the tech videos over the last couple years. And thanks for the feedback from Craig about my Biomech project from the Scott MacKay tutorial. It was really cool of him to take the time to reply.

Just getting into water based as I have been airbrushing Hot Wheels for about 3 years. I originally tried water based, but gave it up early since I couldn't make it work and just found enamel easier. Hey, I didn't know you could wet sand 4050?! I have to try that on a test panel. Not ready to do it on a real project just yet.. ;) I think I have seen just about every video on your channel, some several times. How long do you let the sealer or paint dry before you tape it for the stripes and how long do you let the next color dry before you remove the tape? Thanks for the videos. They’ve been very helpful.

Drying times depend upon technique and environmental conditions. Allowing each coat to dry tack-free before applying the next coat of paint speeds up time to tape or clear. The drying times referred to in our Hard-Surface Application Guide, available at www.creatextech.com, are set to 70 deg.F. and a relative humidity of 50%. Allow for extended drying times if painting in colder or more humid conditions. If in doubt, allow for extended drying times as there is no time window after which paint has to be scuffed prior to applying the next coat. Use warm, moving air to assist drying; avoid using direct heat to dry paint. Thank you.

Chris, do you know if SprayMax 2K is compatible with Createx paints, especially if UVLS is used first as buffer overcoat? I though I saw a video where you used it, but for the life of me, can't find it now.

Yes, Spray Max 2k Clears are compatible with all Createx paints. We've used 2k Spray Max with many projects for over a decade, always with good results. Thank you.

How do i know what color of sealer to use with your other lines, pearl, candy, opaque etc...?

By color-keying the sealer with a base color. However, 6001 Sealer White and 6002 Sealer Black are most often used, and can be mixed to make a grey sealer which works with most any color. For silvers and as a base for candy2o, 6013 AutoBorne Silver Sealer works excellent, www.autoborne.com. Thank you.

We don't make metal-flake as they're many companies which re-package metal flake, all of which may be mixed with our 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear, an excellent flake carrier, www.uvlsclears.com.
