I've used pod/pacs for years. I used them in a Whirlpool Duet. No problems. I used at the laundromat. No problems. I regularly use them in my top loader. No issues. Now. Are people with problems using the pods following the directions?

I have the next model down - ELFW7537 and it’s been amazing. The pods have worked well. I used to hate using them because of all those reasons but now I really enjoy using them in this machine.

So long as the water is piping hot then pods are a great option. Good info! I have gas water heater it gets the water very hot🥵

I have used pods in my front loader for years. Never had an issue. I throw it in the machine then add my clothes. Never had a problem they always break down. I even use cold water for most of my loads.

My electrolux is currently flipping out because I have started using the Ultra pods from costco. Waiting for a cycle to end today (after abour 4 hours) of constant "detergent overdosing" alarms and "check drainage filter" warnings. This cycle was 90 degrees and I didn't use a pod because of prior detergent overdose warnings. This is the worst it has ever been :( I will be gifting the pods to Mum who has a top loader

I've never had an issue with pods dissolving in my front loader. And I always use cold water except for my sheets. As long as you don't completely overfill the machine it's fine.

Dip the section of clothing in some hot water and that plastic or whatever it is will dissolve. I heat two cups of water in the microwave, dissolve the pod by stirring it in a jar, then pour it into the washer to do a load of clothing.

Me noticed that liquid works better. Because me mom wash my clothes and she always used pods. Me dad made me wash my cloths because and I used the liquid. Me shirts smelled much better than when they were washed with the pods. We have machine with front door.

At 3:05... how would a machine deliver "warmer" water to dissolve the pods unless the machine had a built-in water heater to boost the incoming water temperature. Or maybe it's just that your house delivers two different temperatures of "hot" water (without having to change the setting on your water heater} into your machine and you never knew it? This is just advertising hype to sell a particular machine. Actually, Tide Pods are designed to dissolve in a range of temperatures (how else would they work in cold water washing AND hot water washing?}.

Almost all front load machines (at least, the ones made by non-American brands) will have both a steam boiler and/or an immersion heater, but obviously to most americans used to ancient tin-can-top-loaders where the manufacturers actually *lobby the government* to not have to innovate, I can see how this is surprising.

Well dang...this just seals the deal. I was trying to decide between the LG Washtower and the Electrolux Laundry Tower. In so many aspects, it seems as though the Electrolux is just a little bit better thought out (at least for my needs). I also like the fact that it's a "dumb" laundry unit. I don't need everything in my house to connect to the internet! Thanks for the great explanation!
@BoulevardHome

Glad to hear it was helpful! I would verify that the tower has the pod dispenser first, however. In this video we were just featuring this specific model that has it but I can't remember if the tower has it. Thanks for watching!

Get the LG. It’s much more serviceable and definitely has much better options. The Electrolux is definitely not as good quality build and the lack of a accesible drain filter just echoes that fact.
@s.linn5086
@s.linn5086 5 ай бұрын
Sorry to break it to you but adding a trendy "patented subscription detergent dosage unit" is not a sign of innovation - it's a sign that Electrolux made some back door deal with P&G to put the logo on their machine. LG has been known for absolute tank-like build quality in their laundry (particularly front load since the entirety of the developed world uses front load machines) with a fit and finish that is easily noticeable when you get inside these machines. Direct drive, accelerometer based balancing, all stainless fasteners inside, conformally coated PCBs, and so on... the amount of effort LG puts into the parts you'll never see is what matters.

Why creating a solution for something that is more worse than the problem - warm water for breaking a pod? Get a standard machine, front load, use powder, it’s working. European machines don’t use warm water from the pipe, it needs to heat it up. The clothes are soaked in cold water, the detergent is worked in that cold and get heated up, with the movement it turns clean. The cycles takes longer ( normal hot 60 degrees up to 2,5 hrs) than the top loaders but less water, cleaner results, more efficient. Don’t use pods, never
