A lot of these videos follow the same theme but fail to mention the cost to run either. Despite induction being quicker, electricity costs still see induction as more expensive over the year

Telling us to pick the one with the best features doesn't really help.. I think people would do that anyway... I thought this would say what brands hold up the best once the obvious process of deciding which features you like has been done.

Its OK! I have to clean it much more then a regular washer dryer. I just go Solar and i still have a electric bill, I am thinking that this washer/dryer is the culprit. May go back to a gas washer and dryer because gas is so much cheaper in Cali then electric. Wonder if Costco will take it back!

don't fall for all the gimmicks. get a top mount whirlpool. the cheapest yet lasts the longest. honestly the more you pay the more problems you will have. all those fancy features break. keep it simple stupid.

I have it and I like it so far. BUT, I have not only this one. I also have regular washing machine and a regular dryer. So a total of 3 machines in my house. I have 2 kids, so I do a lot of laundry. I like that I can choose sometimes the all in one. Sometimes, the regular ones. Often, I use all 3 machines at the same time. It makes me save a lot of time specially during the weekend when I have to wash the bedsheets and the towels. I have noticed with the all in one that sometimes I have to pause the drying cycle to make sure that there’s no clothing sticking to the tub after the washing spin cycle or to reposition bedsheets so that it does not just form a big ball of bedsheets. So you can’t always just simply start it and leave it until it’s dry for all items.

My electrolux is currently flipping out because I have started using the Ultra pods from costco. Waiting for a cycle to end today (after abour 4 hours) of constant "detergent overdosing" alarms and "check drainage filter" warnings. This cycle was 90 degrees and I didn't use a pod because of prior detergent overdose warnings. This is the worst it has ever been :( I will be gifting the pods to Mum who has a top loader

They only make three products worth buying. Washing machines, dishwashers and vacuum cleaners. Expect all to run trouble free for atleast 20 years.

I installed our stainless steel lined dishwasher to replace an old one with a plastic tub. I did it by the book and it soon developed the wet dog odor and left this odor on our dishes. We tried several cleaning products but nothing worked. I pulled the racks and soaked them in a tub while I ripped apart the dishwasher to clean the filters, screens, and anywhere else that water could stand or be caught. There is no real filter just a series of screens. During this process I did not find any residue that could generate any odor at all. Everything was factory new. I pulled the dishwasher and ran the drain hose. I put a "high loop" in it as @CurtisCT described. It still smells. Right now I have a bowl of white vinegar sitting on the top rack and the dishwasher is running. When finished I will put some baking powder in the bottom of the dishwasher and run it again. As an after thought I think I will run it a couple times back to back with no soap and no dishes to see if the smell is still there. If none of this works, the drain is connected to the garbage disposal (which does not have an odor), I may relocate the hose so that it is connected down stream of the garbage disposal and at a point just before the drain disappears into the wall/floor. Just grasping at straws at this point.

A) You hypnotized your wife. The cutlery rack on a dishwasher is horrible, especially if the dishwasher is further away from the sink / utensils drawer . Utensils drip, utensils may have yucky stuff on them + you want those things out of your hand as quickly as possible, and starting to put them in one at a time, running back and forth from the sink is not that amazing . So cutlery basket for the win !! Also, while a part of me was amazed at all the functionality of modern refrigerators ... , a happier part of me was thankful to the service man who basically rebuilt the 35+ year old fridge that my parents had , and if all goes well, that beast will continue to hum along with minimal electronics, no surge protector another 30+ years without much service . (I remember once replacing a rusted out small dish in the back that collected water droplets from the machine . (DIY before it was popular) ... now going back to downloading Bosch service manuals, to try and figure out what's actually different between 3-4 models that have pretty much the same description ... 🤯

The main advice is if you have bad, hard water, never use "eco" powders, and also if you wash at 30-40 degrees, do not use anything that says "eco" on it, this "eco" will break your machine

The powder can be diluted with water and poured directly onto the clothes in the tank or in the dispenser, in the gel compartment.

When people buy a fridge, they think about the spacing and this happens by just looking at the fridge. It takes 2-3 minutes to understand if the space works for you or not. The most important reason that people buy a fridge is they need and want to be sure that is a reliable purchase and is not going to break down after a while. So instead of spending the whole video on the space, you could mention that in one minute and spend the rest of the video on an honest review on the mechanics and long term well-being of the fridge.

We bought an upscale side by side LG about 10 years ago….starting acting up less than 5 years old. Wouldn’t go below 41 degrees and the ice maker broke. After 7 years got rid of it. Never again. The lack of being able to get colder than 40 was a known problem with this model

I don't care if old-school appliances are less energy efficient. I prefer "old, inefficient" appliances over modern ones with sophisticated digital controls and computers. Simplicity trumps energy efficiency for me.

Eighteen months ago I bought a TR5 and I love it. It's amazingly quiet and gets the clothes clean. It spins much faster than our old Kenmore did so the dryer cycle is faster (even on low heat). The combination of the TR5's gentleness and the dryer's low heat has extended the life of our clothes.
