The difference between remoras and lampreys is that the remora is more just along for the ride they don't feed on the fish they are attached to whereas lampreys actually eat the host.

Little fish was a remora. Not like lamprey though... they aren't parasites. They just stick to the big fish with suction (pick one up you'll feel the suction on top of their heads) so that they get a free ride and access to food the big fish might stir up or make a mess with. Big ones fight like hell. Great video as always.

Hey John, it looked to me like the caudal fin had a white margin, which would make it a Gag Grouper but I could not see it real well. First though was gag and a review seemed to confirm. John, you are catching the heck out of Grouper at that location. Nice Job. Good to see someone else in my Kayak. Love it but struggle getting it Out and loaded. In is easy. I'll check your back vids to see if you show loading or unloading. John Lampree are a parasitic situation and can kill many pounds of fish in their feeding cycle. Ramora are true fish and while the attach they do not destroy tissue and are not taking anything from inside the fish. They eat scraps dropped by the preators. I'm sure you already know this.
