Came across this case about 2 years ago and this is one of the most infuriating cases of violence against women that I have encountered. Derek is a monster who saw the women living with him as sex objects. He tortured Michelle to gratify his sick fantasies. His lack of respect for her is beyond me. I hope he rots in hell. I hope Michelle's family and friends find the peace that they all deserve. May Michelle rest in peace.

this case is so heartbreaking 💔 what a horrible horrible crime. i hope he gets what he deserves. i also find it so disappointing when the courts are blocked by technicalities like that, the usb was discovered and no doubt deeply effected her family, the woman who discovered it, the judge who had to witness it, and his sentence didn’t even see any real change.

It is nothing short of admirable that you want to be a voice for these victims and their families and to raise awareness where there is way too little. As you do so however, always take time to take care of yourself. It is easy to burn out when you have an empathic heart. You owe us nothing- we will all still be here if occasionally you post a little late, etc. Always put yourself first- I think I can speak for all of us when I say that. This is a tough realm to work in. Be as good to you as you are to others.

At the court he was gonna walk free When my dad spoke he said over my dead body that he is walking free.. People a So heartless wow judge santince him not in prison;in mental hospital He was in there for one & half years. Ever since my brothers murder I can’t use public transport. Years letter I had to come over my fear so one day that I got on the train with my anxiety & so scared that I don’t come a cross him but 😮 the guy murred my brother he was on the train sitting right in front of me😮😢some one tel me what is a human life worth?
