The speaker could have gotten wet. If the screen and the rest still works you should give it a shot cleaning it. Take the batteries out and open the housing screws to check for any corrosion. If there is corrosion clean it with isopropyl alcohol

why do the adults grab what the kids pick up, they don't trust the kids? A good example is a mother and daughter in the video.
