Hi Flower Friends! So many adventures to fill you in on! Enjoy :)
Today I'm picking up a harvest from another local grower (Gina) to share in the flower world! My grandfather is overwhelmed at the love from the last video so I posted a behind the scenes video of him making Lupini Beans here!

You have no idea how much your videos have touches people's lives, at least mine. On a good day, your videos with your contagious goofy happy-go-lucky personality plus beautiful colorful flowers makes my day even happier; on a bad day, such as after having an argument with the other only breathing living creature in our household aka my husband, your videos are my hideaway heaven. Especially nowadays that everyone is distancing themselves from each other, I can't just call up a friend to go hang out and be away from the house, so I watched your videos and then all clouds are gone from my head. So just want to say thank you

Your grandpa is absolutely delightful❣ I have a friend that has been wondering how to prepare those beans and considering that she grows them that's the problem😂 truly she does grow them and does not know how to prepare them. I'm going to forward her to your KZbin channel and your grandpa and allow him to teach her exactly how to prepare those beans. Would you tell your Grandpa thank you very much because he has taught a lot of people how to prepare those beings. And now we all know how delicious that they look and they can taste. Thank you so much for sharing your grandpa with the rest of the world. Hugs and kisses Grandpa and GiGi the two of you have made our day🤗💕

The yellow on the gomphrena is actually the flowers. The pink (white, purple, etc.) colored part is called the Globose head. And, is made up of bracts. Modified leaves that are usually brighter than the actual flower. Like in poinsettias. There is my nerd contribution for the day. 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 Keep up the good work.

Nicole, this was a great video. Those champagne lisianthus and bouquet were beautiful for Lilly. I think that was my favorite. I want to thank you for having soft background music that isn't competing with you speaking in your video too. Too many people add music that's much too loud, and this was just really nice to listen to. I had an idea while watching your video, and then saw your one vase at the end with the bouquet in it, is to maybe talk about vase size and necks for holding the glads and sunflowers, but you did say to keep them rubberbanded.

Sarah Raven uses a recipe that likens bouquets and arrangements to a wedding in that each bouquet needs a focal flower like sunflower, dahlia or lily = The Bride, Lacy flower like ammi or feverfew = her veil, spikes like snapdragons = the groom and groomsmen, Zinnias and other discs in same or contrasting color = bridesmaids, funky bits like berries, plumes and seed pods = the crazy uncle, and surrounding them all, greens like basil = the church

Okay, yours is the new YT channel that dominates my feed/playlist and plays in the background while I’m asleep. 😂 I’m learning so much about flowers that I never knew about. Girl!! Those lisianthus.......SWOON!! Where have they been all of my 46 years?!?!?! I’ll order seeds to try for next year. My patio container garden is going to be maxed for this this growing season and the seeds I’ve already started. I thought I was excited about getting carnation seeds (my favorite grocery store affordable for my budget and exquisitely gorgeous flower for when I want to treat myself) but I had no idea that they are supposed to have a scent!! So I’m growing them to experience their scent. I’ll have to give glads and scabiosa a try too. All of your arrangements are so fetching! Girl, how do you get any work done? I’d be fired because I’d rather spend time with the flowers. Until I saw a snake and then I’d get over it. 🤣

You convinced me to grow lisianthus this year! (Well, I had never heard of them- I didn't really need convincing haha) I'm having trouble figuring out how early to start mine. We usually kind of skip spring. Our Temps in feb & mar are around 30-50 (during the day) & then by April we usually have Temps around 70-80 (but still have a couple nights that get to below freezing, usually just around 30 degrees though, not too cold... our last frost date is usually mid-late april) & then by may our Temps are 80-95. Idk if any of that information is of any use or has any affect on when I should start them, But could you give me any guidance? I know you're not a pro, so don't worry, I'm not going to get mad at you if what you say doesn't end up working! But I can't find any help on this! (I'll be starting then inside under really good grow lights)
