That Weller green bottle is not a bad pour. Pretty good in a Old Fashioned also

I've had same old moses once at a restaurant. It was sherry finished, and it was really good. No idea about this one.

Yeah for some reason this one on the nose was not it.

I call Weller dog water - when people try to charge over MSRP for it. Honestly though, it's the worst of the sub $30 bottles from BT. If I was going to be hanging out on my back porch with some friends and I needed a cheap bottle from a gas station and my options were the following: Buffalo Trace $28 Weller SR $26 Benchmark Top Shelf $17 My order of preference would be BT -> Benchmark -> Weller SR. It's drinkable but not exciting - it's like water with some brown food coloring, brown sugar, some tea, and a splash of strawberry coolaide. No mid palate, no finish, and no hug. Depending on the day I will also pick up a hint of raw wheat grain as soon as that sweetness leaves my tongue (which is like 0.25 seconds). Casual sippers will love how approachable Weller SR is, I completely get that aspect. My wife and non-bourbon drinking friends enjoy it, they even add ice. Not for me. I'd rather drink Larceny, 4 Roses select, Elijah Craig, Redwood Empire (any of them), or a dozen other $30 bottles.

Yall are very nice. We wanted Old Moses to be good since we live here. But it is not good !!! Hate to say that. Weller is good for the price. Appreciate yall swinging through OKC Byron’s is one of our favorites

Yeah, Old Moses hasn't impressed me. We started getting it in Missouri late last year and some stores were doing samples. Couldn't find one I liked. Needs more time in a big barrel. Tastes like 3 year small barrels, even if it isn't.

Weller isn’t a bad pour for under $30. It’s just cool to hate on certain bottles
